Venice, for canon / oc ship week run by @rwbyocanonshipweek ! Day 7 ; Free Day.
The final day and we’re finishing it with Ruri and Neo as mute mermaids! Ruri is a Koi, and Neo is a Betta!
With the week now done, I wanna say thanks to the RWBY OCxCanon blog for hosting the week again this year. Here’s to the next year and a new bunch of ships to draw!
The high wire was almost fun. Tyrian was nimble and his tail gave him an advantage with balance. The hight had been daunting at first, but Tyrian found he enjoyed the thrill of it; the risk. The cheer of the crowd and the thousands of eyes trained on him while he performed without a safety net to catch him if he fell.
The other faunus in the traveling circus were alright, a few of them even kind. That ringleader however...why Tyrian would absolutely love to drive his stinger through him. Perhaps he would someday. But not tonight. He had a show to perform.
Althea had finally gotten away from her mother. After years of trying and trying and always failing, she had gotten away with the help of the Academy. Her skills with her bow Death's Sigh, had caught the attention of the headmaster and she'd been granted a place there. She couldn't accept faster.
However, even away from her mother, who had been enraged when Althea told her, she couldn't really escape her. Her mother's voice echoed in her head, always reminding her of what her sole purpose in life was. "You have an ability to make people happy. To force them to feel good even when they can't fathom it." But always tacked on with "Be grateful, because you'd be completely useless otherwise."
Present
An emerald arrow bounced off a silver armoured tail before it swung out and tripped the archer who had fired it.
With a grunt Althea landed flat on her back knocking the wind out of her lungs. Her aura had been low from the long sparring session she'd been having with Tyrian, and the simple fall had been the last straw in breaking it.
The scorpion faunus giggled as he watched her lay there, gasping for breath. "I win again." He strode over and knelt down over Althea, watching her shake from exhaustion.
"Time to call it quits, I believe."
"One more go. I still need to kick your-." Althea panted out, but Tyrian placed a finger against her lips before he leaned down and replaced it with his own lips.
Future.
Althea had never believed she and Tyrian would grow old together, live happily ever after. But that didn't make it ache any less after he had passed at the hands of the enemy. Althea herself had managed to evade arrest years after Salem's defeat. All of her followers were wanted for the crimes committed in helping her, if they hadn't died already.
The only reason Althea even kept herself out of prison -because she knew she deserved to pay for her crimes eventually- was so she could still visit the memorial stone she had placed for him. Sometimes when she closed her eyes she could feel the sensation of his tail slipping around her waist again...
