Tor made his way through the streets of Remnant, the collar of his trenchcoat turned up against the wind that came in cool from the sea. Squinting down at his cell phone in the fading light, he tried to tap out a quick message to Ruby. ‘srry babe can’t cum ovr rn. hav 2 wrk’ 

His thumb hovered over the ‘send’ button, his eyes downcast and his lips pressed together into a frown. Finally, with a deep sigh, he pressed down hard, shoving his phone back into his pocket before turning down a narrow alley between two sketchy looking shops. What she didn’t know couldn’t hurt her, and he was going to keep it that way.

Kabal walked onto the campus of Beacon, along with all the other first year students. He was in awe of it, even the building itself was glorious. It had taken him over 10 years at various fighting schools to bring him here. He almost didn’t make it. Due to his condition, his life support system nearly made it so he wouldn’t be here. 

But nonetheless, he had. He walked towards the school, looking around him. While gazing off at something else, he accidentally bumped into a girl with jet black hair and a black bow. “Oh, sorry, I wasn’t paying attention...” He said, embarrassed. Great... He thought to himself, Only been here 5 minutes and already making bad first impressions.
