1. Ron is a Slacker

Yes, I suppose you can say that's true. Ron is sometimes lazy when it comes to schoolwork. He doesn't like school, he doesn't like tests, he doesn't like homework. So he's pretty much a normal teenager. People need to stop looking at this as a bad thing - despite his disinterest in studies, Ron manages to get pretty good grades - he got 7 OWLS.

Ron is the type of person to put his efforts into something that actually makes him happy, which honestly, is a pretty good thing. Ron liked Quidditch, so he put his efforts into practicing to get onto the Quidditch team, which he did get onto.

Ron antis definitely tend to over exaggerate his so called "laziness". I mean, Ron was a chess player, an incredibly talented chess player. He beat McGonagall's chessboard when he was 11-12, a whole 58 bloody years younger than her!! You know how much time and effort goes into perfecting chess? It's one of the hardest sports out there.

1. Ron treats Hermione like shit

Yes, Ron has said mean things to Hermione before. But no, let's not make him out to be some abusive, asshole friend. He's not. Let's also not forget that Hermione gave as good as she got, and she has also treated Ron badly.

I think everyone needs to keep in mind that throughout the entirety of the series, Harry, Ron and Hermione, while heroes, were still teenagers. And teenagers make mistakes. They're jealous and insecure, and immature and they sometimes say the wrong things. But they're teenagers. That's what teenagers do. It's perfectly normal. It's also important to note that Ron apologized when he was in the wrong.

Ron has also complimented Hermione on many occasions. For example;

[Hr]: *decorating for the wedding*

[R]: Nice. You’ve really got an eye for the sort of thing.

and

[Hr]: I told you at the burrow, I’ve had the essentials packed for days, you know, in case we needed to make a quick getaway…

[R]: you’re brilliant

3. Hermione settled for someone undeserving of her

How do you define that though? "Undeserving." As if they didn't both love each other.

But most Ron antis say this as a dig to Ron's intelligence, because they seem to think that he "can't keep up" with Hermione. Entirely untrue of course. Let me explain why this is wrong.

JKR herself said: “Well, Hermione initially fancies Ron. But her hopes initially are pretty. . .pretty low. She never tries to make Ron feel better by pretending to be less than she is. Which is why they don’t get together a lot sooner. That’s the reality of life.”

SHE NEVER TRIES TO MAKE RON FEEL BETTER BY PRETENDING TO BE LESS THAN SHE IS.

So just to break it down for everyone:

-> It means by the end of Deathly Hallows, Ron was just as smart as Hermione, if not smarter! This is in no way disregarding his street smarts and academic smarts, it’s just showing his growth in intelligence over the course of the series.

-> It also means that Ron bashers and Ronmione haters were wrong. Hermione would be intellectually stimulated for the rest of her life. But on a side note, that is not what a marriage is about.

4. Hermione helped Harry more / Ron achieves less

I mean, do I really need to debunk this? Ron has achieved plenty. And it's blasphemous to suggest that Hermione helped more - how do you even measure that? Ron has helped and aided Harry in the battle against Voldemort for years. Since he was eleven years old, Ron has made sacrifices for Harry.

When he was in first year, he gave Harry, a stranger on the train, his homemade sandwich. He showed Harry in the ins and outs of the Wizarding world, defended Harry against Malfoy and overall was a brilliant friend. Despite not liking Hermione, he helped save her from the troll.

When he was just twelve years old, he ventured into the Forbidden Forest, facing his greatest fear, just so he could help Hermione.

In his third year, he stood on a broken leg, extremely weak and in pain, in front of a known mass murderer, and offered himself up.

"If you want to kill Harry, you'll have to kill us too!" he said fiercely, though the effort of standing upright was draining him of still more color, and he swayed slightly as he spoke. ... "Did you hear me?" Ron said weakly, though he was clinging painfully to Harry to stay upright. "You'll have to kill all three of us!"

In his fourth year, he let Harry practice spells on him in order to prepare for the Triwizard Tournament.

In his fifth year, he defended Harry constantly against all the nasty rumors, and accompanied Harry to rescue Sirius, without hesitation.

In sixth year, Ron led the group of students at the end of the year who fought against Death Eaters.

And in seventh year, my personal favorite, Ron accompanied Harry along on the Horcrux Hunt. Ron was a pureblood, albeit a "blood traitor" - but still a pureblood. He would've been perfectly safe staying at the Burrow.

In conclusion, Ron Weasley was the best bloody friend anyone could ask for, and Harry and Hermione were lucky to have him.

Cause I've noticed some Ron eating bashing on tiktok I've came up with more postive food headcannons for him:

-Ron loves going on picnics with his mom, they spend the morning making sandwiches and homemade juices before sitting under Rons favorite tree

-Hermione replaces the bernies bots beans with reglaur ones so she can see his face light up when he gets his favorite flavours

-Harry loves cooking with Ron, they cook dinner together every night and even argue over who gets to make dessert

-Charlie loved feeding Ron as a baby, Ron was easy to feed, as he wasn't a picky eater, and always excited to be fed by him

-This made Bill insanity jealous and he'd try to one up all the food Charlie made for Ron

-Rons loves to eat honey, he eats it on bread, fruit, and sometimes by the spoonful. Hermione finds it cute and ironically calls him "Honey"

I prefer harry's death in the books. I like the version where he does not tell anyone that he is going to let voldemort kill him. I feel it has more of an impact. It was probably heart-wrenching from ron and hermione to see their 'dead' best friend of seven years. The one that they just helped try to defeat the dark lord, was defeated by the dark lord. They know that harry was everyone's last hope, and now, to them, the last hope is gone. It's voldemort's world, now. It has more of an impact when he turns out alive.

Of course, the movie's one is good, too. Just because I prefer th other one doesn't mean i hate the movie's one. It would be horrible to know your best friend is going to let himself get killed and them knowing harry, they knew he would not change his mind. But, one think irks me about the movie's version especially, they didn't let ron hug harry. they didn't let ron hug his best friend thinking that it would be his last time seeing him alive. they didn't let ron hug his best friend of seven years. his first friend at hogwarts. the one that helped him thought some much. he just stood behind hermione like a dwerp.
