whoever had the idea to cast dafne and ruth together...please...i want to talk. i want to know what happens inside your brilliant brain because this is one of the best casting pairings ive seen in fucking ages. the moment you put those two in a scene together magic is bound to fucking happen.
that confrontation when lyra sics pan on the golden monkey? and then marisa uses her “self control” to not be affected by it? and stands? everything happening in that scene is unspoken BUT SO MUCH IS SAID. jesus christ...the fact that neither the show nor ruth have made it to any of the “best of 2020″ is truly criminal. like...for real. it just goes to show that there’s no taste involved in these lists. none.

Jesus fucking christ on a soda cracker............that scene between Ruth and Lin-Manuel in episode 2x03 is sublime in all the ways. This show truly does exist in a league of its own and while I don't believe in religion I will continue to pray at the Church of Ruth Wilson. There's few actresses like her. Truly.
Just finished HDM and Ruth Wilson is still one of the greatest things to grace my screen. I love her so much and I'm glad Dafne's Logan performance wasn't a fluke, that girl is wonderful to watch too.

I got pulled away between episodes but I just finished episode 2x02 and fucking hell...there's no one like fucking Ruth Wilson. Truly. She is carrying this entire show on her tired back. Don't get me wrong, the show itself is magnificent with strong performances across the board. And Dafne is a gift as well so it's not like Ruth is the only one on another level of existence like...HOLY SHIT RUTH WILSON AS MARISA COULTER IS JUST SOMETHING ELSE. I can't remember a performance like this in years. It's just...there's not one flaw. Not one to be found.
