Warboy Snippets! You're killing me here. But in a good way, I promise. So, I was reading Burndive and came across the part where Yuri has kidnapped Ryan and while trying to rattle him makes a comment about what Azarcon's son would be like as a geisha. Which made me wonder, how do you think Ryan would have responded in a situation similar to his father's, or Jos', or Yuri's? If Falcone had somehow gotten a hold of him as a child, would he have naturally resisted like Jos or been manipulated?

That’s a really good question. On the outside Ryan seems much softer than Jos, Yuri, and his father … but he is also his father’s son. And his mother’s (Songlian had a pretty good rebellious streak too.) If he was taken as a child in the way Yuri was taken, he might’ve fallen into it - been fooled. It’s hard to say because so much of who he is when you meet him as an adult is shaped by his experiences. He doesn’t buy bullshit as an adult and he’s prone to rebel. But as a little boy I imagine he was much more sweet and innocent (because he was in a safe environment), and if that was ripped away, it might have really been devastating to him - like for Bo-Sheng. Bo-Sheng could not really survive that life, and he succumbed.
