Margo Sinclair and Ryan Donovan ( @curious-kittens-ocs )
Ryan didn’t fit in. Quite frankly, neither did Margo at first, but people at least made an effort to accommodate the long lost Sinclair.
It was partially because of Margo’s parents - they were staples in the community, respectable folk, and so the citizens of Hawkins treated Margo as such and kept the name-calling and the rumours to a minimum (or at least behind closed doors). Ryan Donovan was never afforded that luxury. “Foster Freak,” they called her. She had no parents to stop the names, she had no one. And she was… weird.
Margo took it upon herself to protect Ryan. No one else was gonna do it, so why not her? They were both new, sort of, and they both had a lot in common. Just how much… That would come to light soon enough.
