please when you talk about ryan, stop trying to set him apart from his autism. he was a black autistic child who was only 15, he wanted to drive so he could help his mother out. he wanted to be normal, he wanted to be normal.. he wanted to be so many things and the police cut his life short, i think about him everyday because what if that happens to me? would i like it if no one cares that the police KILLED me and only focused on one part of my identity. he was black, he was autistic, he was a joy to be around, he had a smile on his face and no one will ever see him smile again. how does that you feel? y’all don’t even talk about him despite y’all being the mentally ill queer disabled site.
My heart is broken for Ryan Gainer. No one deserves to die simply for being black and autistic. We must fight for the rights of all autistics, because no one will do it for us.
It is so close to autism awareness month, and my heart hurts knowing just how many people face the same discrimination for simply having a disability and being a POC.
I urge everyone to share and reblog as many posts as they can. Get the internet’s attention! Because we need everyone if we are going to continue the fight for justice for Ryan Gainer.

it's terrible what happened to Nex, but i havent seen anyone talking about Ryan Gainer, the 15 year old black autistic boy who was killed by a cop while having a meltdown because he was holding a gardening tool.
his family was kicked out of their house so that cops could search for a reason he was dangerous to justify killing him.
i don't think we should stop talking about Nex, but please talk about Ryan, too.

Update on my profile: I’ve changed my asks button to no donation asks because of the sheer amount of scammers, and it’s hard for me to differentiate the scammers from the real people who need real assistance. If someone else has VERIFIED a GFM, etc, and you tell me about it (with a link to the post) in my asks that’s okay, but other than that, I’ve made the decision to ask to please not put donation asks in my asks, as they’ve been flooded with them. I also don’t want to risk promoting scams, as there’s been a LOT of scams in my asks and it’s hard to tell the difference. Thank you for your understanding. If you send me an ask and I suspect a scam I will most likely block you.
Update on that: I changed the button again to a normal button. I cannot verify gfm or check if they might be scams now because I do not have the time but I want to make sure people get the help they need, so before you donate try to check for signs, etc.
Edit: added “this user” banners and changed my ask button to “slow response time” since I always take the longest time to even look at my asks and respond to them with all that’s going on. I currently have 300+ asks that I’m going to try my best to answer by February 2nd, 2025. Will make an update post about that each day I go through them and when I finish responding to all my asks in my inbox. I also put on the feature to suggest posts.
Edit: Made some changes to my Linktree! I’ve added some links to my Linktree and organized it a bit! If any of the links don’t work anymore let me know because I tried my best to delete any links for any reason to delete a link (petitions to gorvernments that don’t exist anymore, bills that have already been passed/blocked, etc.) My Linktree has a bunch of links to help you take action, donate, and support people.
