would you be able write a fic about getting high with the lads? maybe like with the other lasses and being elis girl?
Wait I’m actually giggling over this (and it’s not like I’ve daydreamed about this before or anything…👀)
Hopefully this is as you imagined it HAHAHA (I also put my own little twist on it so hopefully that's okay xxx)
Weed Talking — Elijah Hewson
Summary: (based off request) The guys are back from tour and you invite them and some old friends over to your childhood home. Your feelings for Elijah have been around for years, but when you get high they seem to heighten, and there’s no hiding from him…
Warnings: mentions/use of weed, a few suggestive moments and thoughts, alcohol, aggressive make out sesh.
A/N: I decided to put a bit of a spin on the request just to spice it up a little bit. Hopefully that’s okay with everyone hehehe xxx
There was something about being back in your childhood home with all of them — like the years hasn't passed at all. You'd set out blankets in the back garden, grabbed spare duvets and snacks, and someone (probably Rob) had already queued the same playlist you all used when you were seventeen.
Rob's girlfriend, Martha, and your best friend, Caoimhe, were sitting cross-legged under the fairy lights you'd strung up that afternoon, passing a joint between them while Sam and Lucy argued about whether the moon looked "mystical" or "like a bad drawing." Ryan and Josh were somewhere near the fire pit your parents fitted in about a year ago now, laughing over God knows what, and Elijah...well, Elijah was beside you.
Too close, maybe. His leg pressed lightly against yours, neither of you shifting away. The weed had hit (so did the whiskey), mellow and heavy, and your whole body felt like it was floating. But your mind — your mind was doing somersaults.
You could smell him. That same cedarwood-after-smoke scent he always carried, always just barely there. And you shouldn't notice that, shouldn't care. But the warmth pooling low in your stomach said otherwise.
"You're quiet," Elijah said suddenly, voice low like a secret.
You glanced at him. His eyes were red-rimmed and a little glassy, his curls a mess from when he kept running his hands through them. He looked unfairly good. Not even in a rockstar way — just...him. Familiar and infuriating and heartbreakingly safe.
"Just thinking," you said, blinking up at the stars like they could save you from the daydream you were slipping into.
"About?"
You should've lied. You should've said something dumb — the stars, Lucy's nonsense, or how Josh still couldn't roll a proper joint. But you were too high for that kind of finesse.
"You."
He tilted his head, his expression unreadable in the low light. "Yeah?"
You gave a half-shrug, suddenly feeling exposed. "Dunno. Just...It's weird, isn't it? How we've all known each other forever, but sometimes I look at you and it feels like I'm seeing you for the first time."
He didn't answer right away. He just stared, eyes dropping to your mouth for half a second too long, before flicking back up to your eyes.
The air thickened. Like summer heat before a thunderstorm.
"Eli," you said, voice soft, guilty even. "I probably shouldn't say any more."
"Probably not," he agreed.
Neither of you moved.
The laughter in the background faded to a blur, the music distant. Everything felt underwater. Too slow. Too much.
You imagined his hands. On your hips. On your neck. Tangled in your hair. You imagined saying fuck it and kissing him, right there, while everyone else was too stoned to care. You imagined him pulling you into his lap and whispering the things you wanted to hear but could never ask for.
You looked away,
"God," you muttered under your breath. "I need water or I'm going to say something really fucking stupid."
Elijah laughed. Quiet, low, raspy.
"I'd probably say something worse."
Your gaze snapped back to his, and this time you didn't look away.
There was something unspoken hanging there — thick, heavy, humid — suspended in the summer air and the smoke curling lazily around the two of you.
He leaned in just a little, breath brushing your ear as he whispered, "Tell me later."
Your heart stuttered.
And maybe it was the weed. Maybe it was the years of almosts. Maybe it was everything finally catching up with you.
But in that moment, your daydreams didn't feel so far from reach anymore.
—————————————————
The night had slipped into that dangerous kind of blur — too many joints lit at once, whiskey glasses way too full, everyone too relaxed, too loud, too far gone.
Caoimhe was giggling at something Josh had muttered under his breath, their shoulders pressed against yours like bookends holding you up. But across the fire, Elijah hadn't laughed in minutes.
His eyes were on you. Still.
It was relentless. His stare wasn't subtle, wasn't gentle. It burned. Possessive. Heavy. The kind of look that sank into your skin and didn't let go. He didn't care who saw it. His glass was low in his hand, fingers loose, his star ring catching the firelight — and still, all his attention was on you.
You shifted under it, tried to laugh at something Rob said, tried to focus on Martha gripping Rob's arm while she stared at him like he hung the moon just for her. But it was like Elijah's gaze was pulling at the hem of your linen button up shirt, trailing down the slope of your shoulder, setting fire to the inside of your throat.
You couldn't take it anymore.
"I—uh—water. Need some water," you said, voice too sharp, too fast. You were on your feet before anyone could respond, your steps uneven as you practically bolted into your house.
The kitchen lights were too bright. The cold water from the tap hit your glass in a hiss, and you drank it like it might save you. But it didn't. You slammed the glass down harder than you mean to, chest rising and falling like you'd run a marathon.
Head in your hands. Elbows digging into the marble counter. You squeezed your eyes shut.
"Get a grip," you whispered to yourself. "He's your friend. He's always been your friend. Just your friend."
But your body didn't feel like it got the memo. It was still humming, charged. And your mind — your mind was deeper in the gutter, imagining things that you couldn't un-imagine.
The sliding backdoor squeaked.
You didn't need to look up to know who it was.
He didn't say anything at first. Just walked in and shut the door behind him like it was nothing. Like you weren't about to combust.
When you finally looked up, he was leaning against the wall, hands in the pockets of his black jeans, curls messy, whiskey eyes locked on yours.
"You alright?" he asked. But he knew the answer. You could see it in his stupid, knowing smirk.
You let out a humourless laugh, still breathless. "Not really, no."
He pushed off the wall and walked toward you, slow like he was giving you a chance to run. You didn't.
"You left in a bit of a hurry," he said, voice lower now, almost careful. "Did I... do something?"
His eyes searched your face, softening just enough to make your stomach flip.
"You know you did," you whispered, too honest, too wrecked to lie. "Back there. What you said — how you said it, about me telling you what I was thinking later. You can't just... do that."
He stepped closer. You didn't move.
"I meant it. I always want to know what your thinking. I always have."
That was it.
That was the thing that broke you.
One second you were staring at him — at his flushed cheeks and parted lips, his chest rising slow like he was trying to keep it together too — and the next, your hands were in his shirt and your mouth was on his.
It was messy, immediate. Years of repressed feelings, passing glances, drunken almosts, and high-stoned fantasies crashing into one kiss that was too much and not enough at the same time.
He kissed you like he'd been waiting. Like he'd thought about it every night on every tour. Like he couldn't believe it was actually happening. His hands gripped your waist, pulled you flush against him, and you gasped into his mouth, already dizzy from everything — the weed, the whiskey, him.
His lips trailed down your neck, teeth grazing just enough to make your knees weaken. Your hand tangled in his curls, the same ones you'd watched him push back over and over, wondering what they'd feel like between your fingers.
You were halfway up on the counter before either of you realised it — clothes still on, but the tension electric, skin burning. It was like every fantasy you'd buried under years of friendship had broken the surface all at once.
When he pulled back, just barely, his breath hit your lips.
"This isn't just the weed talking, right?"
You shook your head, whispering, "No, it's not."
He nodded, like that was all he needed, and kissed you again — deeper this time. Slower.
And you knew it then and there, that there was no going back after this.

genuinely attached at the hip (dare i say enmeshment)
his love language is quality time or physical touch
he goes all out for birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
he loves doing all the corny couple things, the only issue is that he is terrible at all of those things
ice skating together which ended in him refracturing his rib. a pottery date in which, despite wearing an apron, you both ended up caked with clay. he has spent so much money at the fair trying to win you a stuffed animal
he's very clumsy
speaking of money, he likes to spend it on you (ik that bono money is good)
hair, nails, souvenirs, anything you want
and back to bono, you get along super well with his family. they saw him trailing you around like a lost puppy and just knew you are the one
you hang out with his siblings solo all the time. you stream jordan's music, watch eve and john's movies/shows
you fall asleep on facetime together while he's on tour
he has a hard time coming down from a show, so just hearing you breathe and seeing your face, even through a screen is amazing.
when you facetime normally, he holds the phone so close to his face like some grandpa just because he cant be bothered with holding his phone up
when you come with him on tour, it makes his year
hes very big on pda, he wants at least one part of his body touching yours at all times
an arm over you, holding hands, hand on your back, little kisses, etc.
he doesnt see a reason to hide his love for you
this goes for social media too, he loves posting you
he loves spooning, especially to fall asleep (see that one photo of him sleeping cuddling a pillow)
i dont think he has a preference with little or big spoon though
he steals YOUR clothes
a shirt of yours goes missing for three weeks then you see a video of him on stage just sweating it out
good luck getting it back (spoiler alert: you ARENT)
Ryan
half of your texts are just sending selfies back and forth to eachother
he also sends you songs that remind him of you (mainly love songs)
he has a tattoo dedicated to you or matching with you
he's a words of affirmation guy
you get handwritten letters and paragraphs from him all the time
he's also a foodie. whenever you travel, he's already mapped out the places where you are eating
loves a movie date too, but he always buys too many snacks and you both leave with tummyaches
you also spend at least an hour talking about the movie before writing your letterboxd reviews
you're the couple that friends trust to babysit/dogsit
he's such a good caregiver both for dogs and kids, but also to you.
when you're sick or on your period, he goes all out. ordering food, putting on your favorite movies, you aren't getting out of bed on his watch
he's fine with pda but it's not something he tends to initiate unless you ask for it
he does post you on his socials a lot, he just wants to brag about how perfect his partner is
he's also one of those people who get really hot when they sleep, so he tends to stay away from cuddling you to sleep.
that being said, he does love when you fall asleep on him (even if he'll move you once he starts to sweat)
back to the dogs, you two probably tried to foster some
you failed and fell in love with the first one you ever fostered
now you have a puppy running around your home, but ryan's just as energetic as that puppy so it evens out
there's a perfect mix of joking around and serious conversations between you two
Bobby
He's also a foodie. But, in the sense that he really likes cooking
his love language is acts of service
and he acts like a housewife- cooking and cleaning for you
this being said, he cannot have you in the kitchen at the same time as him nor can he bake to save his life
you're like his stylist. you do his hair (dying and braiding it), you've done his makeup (eyeliner for gigs- shoutout ella for putting that idea in my mind)
he really likes it when you play with his hair, especially if you've gotten your nails done
there's a lot of arcade dates
he's so competitive
if you're not a video games person, he makes you one. (he doesn't let you win)
there's a lot of play fighting and wrestling in your relationship too. you guys like making fun of eachother (lightheartedly ofc)
occasionally it goes too far and you guys need to re-establish boundaries
if you come with him on tour, he takes you to all the tourist attractions
lots of museums and sightseeing
he's great at impressions and making you laugh
when sick/on your period, he's always distracting you with some antics
he loves sleeping on you. its often that you wake up with your arm numb from him or having his hair in your face and him on your chest.
he's probably taller than you, so you steal his shirts for nightgowns.
there was a time when you got into an argument and he put your favorite snack on the top shelf so you had to ask him to get it for you.
you realized you underestimated his stubbornness
Josh
the sweetest ever
before he cut his hair, he tried to convince you to teach yourself to retwist his dreads (using youtube)
his love language is physical touch
it's not like eli with how he needs you touching him, but josh feels more comfortable with you
you make him feel more confident also, especially while preforming if you're watching him
a lot of record shop dates, going to gigs and on hikes
he is an alltrails demon, though if you haven't gone on a lot of hikes, he'll only choose easier ones for you.
when your feet hurt, he'll carry you (both on hikes and standard outings)
he loves taking his camera and taking photos of you instead of the views
he's got over a thousand photos of you, off guard, or posing
he's the dream instagram boyfriend
speaking of insta, he doesn't post you on it unless you insist
he wants your relationship to be as private as possible
but with that being said, he's okay with pda. never like anything too crazy, but he's almost always holding your hand
he tends to be a bit more of a homebody, he doesn't frequent pubs as much as the other guys
he hates when you get sappy, which is just all the more motivation for you to do it for birthdays and anniversaries
he also shies away from being sappy towards you. he loves you a lot but just can't put it into words
he gives you a lot of hugs though, they swallow you whole
there's been times when he comes home from tour and just flops ontop of you. no matter how long you want to stay, you have to tell him to move as he is a large muscular man who is heavy.
and he's probably bigger than you, so you steal his shirts all the time
he loves when you sleep on him or being the little spoon (have we seen all those photos of his waist being grabbed?)
a/n: short lil headcannons bc i was bored, i actually really liked making these!
summary: you meet bobby in a club after seeing inhaler open for sam fender.
warnings: kissing, drinking, implied smut (im too scared to write the actual thing teehee). lmk if i missed anything
pairing: bobby skeetz x fem! reader
word count: 2.1K
request: here!
authors note: my first request OH MYYYY!!! i love inhaler AND sam fender so this was so fun for me to write! this is also not proofread (lol when do i ever)
will we talk? — sam fender
the club was alive with the sound of the obnoxiously loud music. sweaty bodies pressed against each other, the floor sticky with god knows what. you and your friends, still riding the high after seeing sam fender perform live, had decided to go out into the city after the gig, no one wanting the night to end. it was one of those times you felt infinite. like you didn't have a 9am lecture in the morning, half-written essays and rent due.
"hey!" your friend called over the noise, "i'm gonna go take a piss, get us another drink, will ya'?" she asked, handing you her empty glass.
you nodded, she smiled and hugged you before stumbling off to find the bathrooms. maybe just a lemonade for her this time.
you made your way over to the bar, pushing past the drunken bodies of sweaty university students grinding against each other. the blinding lights made it nearly impossible to see where you were going, that and the multiple cocktails in your system.
you made your way over to the bar, pushing past the drunken bodies of sweaty university students grinding against each other. the music pulsed in your chest, lights strobing just enough to disorient you as you weaved through the crowd.
someone shoved past with no warning, and your foot slipped, sending you stumbling straight into someone’s chest.
two hands caught your arms, firm but easy, keeping you upright.
"careful," a voice said, he had an accent. "you alright?"
you looked up, ready to mumble a quick apology but then you saw him.
tall. brunette curls styled perfectly around his ears. and piercing sky-blue eyes, that made you want to sink into the ground and cry, locked onto yours with the most gorgeous smile you had ever seen.
realising you were staring, you stepped back. flustered.
"shit, sorry. i didn't see you."
"no harm done," he said, amused.
you look at him again, confused. "do i know you?"
"nah," he shook his head, "saw you at the gig, on your mates shoulders. at least i'm hoping he's a friend."
"you were at the gig?" you asked, eyes lighting up.
"something like that, yeah." he chuckled.
"what am i missing? where were you watching?"
"from the stage," he muttered, "i'll admit i was a bit upset you weren't as excited for our set as you were sam's."
"yeah?" you asked, smiling sweetly. "well if only i had known how cute you were upclose, i might've got more excited." since when were you this bold?
"just cute?" he questioned.
you hummed in agreement. but no, not just cute.
"so the guy whose shoulder's you were on..." he leaned closer to your ear, "he just a friend?"
you laughed under your breath, he's bold too. "yeah, just a friend."
his grin widened. "good. wouldn't want to be stepping on any toes before i even buy you a drink."
"oh?" you raised your eyebrows. "you're buying me a drink?"
"was hoping to, yeah." he said, shrugging like it was the most natural thing in the world. "might be easier if i knew your name."
you smiled. "it's y/n."
"y/n." he repeated.
"mhm." you nodded, biting your lip. "you gonna tell me yours?"
"robert. or bobby, if you like."
"i like bobby, it suits you." you smiled.
"so..." he paused, "can i buy you a drink, y/n?"
you hesitated for just a second. "alright. one drink."
he led you through the crowd, glancing back once to make sure you were still following. the heat and the noise swirling, but somehow, walking just behind him, it all felt a little more bearable. like the chaos had dulled to a comfortable hum.
he leaned on the bar, flagging the bartender with the ease of someone who had done this a hundred times before. you slid in beside him, feeling the heat of him at your side.
"what're ya having, then?" he asked, turning towards you.
you told him, and he gave a small, approving nod. "classy. i like it."
"and you?" you asked him, nudging his arm with your elbow.
"i'll have a guiness, please." he sad to the bartender.
you snorted, "of course. you can take the boy out of ireland..."
bobby laughed with you, "what about your friend?"
"huh?" you asked.
"your friend," his head motioning over to where the bathrooms were, "you were getting her a drink, no?"
"i- uh- yeah." you fumbled your words, "have you really been watching me all night?"
"hard not to." he said, a little too quickly.
"smooth." you chuckled, "so, how long are you in newcastle?"
"we leave tomorrow, actually. we're going to the US for tour."
both your smiles drop.
you nod slowly, the weight of it sinking in. "must be mad, doing all that travelling. i'm just here for uni."
"uni?" he said, interest sparking in his gaze.
"yeah," you smiled, "so newcastle's home for now, at least."
he grinned, a little softer now. "there are worse places."
"guess so." you said, feeling the sudden distance of knowing the man you only met minutes ago, would be gone soon.
before the moment could get too heavy, the music shifted. the bass dropped low and fast as new order's blue monday filled the room.
you snorted at the irony of it all, "oh my god!"
"seems like fate to me." he gave you a knowing look, offering you his hand.
you took it without hesitation, letting him pull you into the thick of the crowd the drinks long forgotten. the bass thumped through the club, vibrating through your feet as bobby led you deeper onto the dancefloor. the chaos around you blurred into the background, leaving only the rhythm and the warmth of his hand in yours.
he pulled you closer, his fingers resting lightly on the small of your back as you moved together, matching the energy of the music. your heart hammered. not just from the dancing, but from the way his blue eyes held yours with an intensity that made your breath catch.
for a few songs, you lost yourself completely. spinning, laughing, the world reduced to the thump of drums and the heat of his body close beside yours. when the dj finally slowed the tempo, the buzz between you thickened, heavy with something unspoken.
bobby glanced around, then nodded toward the exit. “want to get some fresh air?”
you hesitated for just a moment. the night had been a whirlwind, exciting and reckless in a way you weren’t used to. you weren’t usually the type to just follow someone outside a club in the middle of the night.
but something about bobby made you want to say yes.
“i don’t usually do this kind of thing,” you admitted quietly as he led you out into the cool night air, the sounds of the club muffled behind the door.
the air was crisp against your skin, contrast to the heat lingering on your cheeks from the dancing. bobby had stepped just a little closer, not quite touching, but close enough that you could feel the warmth radiating off him.
"this is..." you started, then trailed off, chewing at your lip. "weird."
"a bit," he admitted, but there was a smile playing at his lips. "but not a bad weird."
you looked at him for a long second. searching for something beneath the surface. "do you do this a lot?"
his eyebrows rose slightly. "do what?"
"you know," you said, tilting your head, voice smaller than you meant it to be. "travel around, play gigs, meet girls, kiss her outside the club and then leave. like it was nothing."
you weren’t trying to accuse him, not really, but the words came out sharper than intended, threaded with something vulnerable. it surprised even you, how much you suddenly cared.
god, look at you. getting worked up over a guy you met two hours ago.
bobby stared at you. like really stared at you with those intense blue eyes that made your legs feel like jelly. the teasing dropped from his face, "is that what you think this is?"
you didn't answer right away. your eyes flicker down to the pavement.
he stepped even closer, slow, his voice quiet but firm. "i meet a lot of people, yeah, but i don't do this. not like this."
you looked up at him. "not like what?"
"not like you."
that stopped you cold.
he scratched the back of his neck, suddenly shy. "jesus, i mean, i saw you from the stage and i couldn't stop looking. then you bump into me in some random club and suddenly i'm here, trying to be all smooth and failing miserably."
you couldn't help the laugh that bubbled up. it was soft, surprised.
"and yeah," he continued, "i'm leaving tomorrow. but i'll be thinking about this. about you."
you swallowed thickly, breath catching when his hand came up gently, fingertips brushing against your jaw, then settling at the curve of your neck. his other hand found your waist, his movements were slow and deliberate like he was memorising this moment.
"so, if you're still okay with it," he murmured, "i'd really like to kiss you now."
your heart stuttered beneath your ribs. but you nodded, just barely, but that was all he needed.
he guided you in, enough for your bodies to meet in the middle. and then he kissed you.
it was soft at first. tentative. like he didn't want to rush it, to feel every second of it. your hands slid up to his hair, tugging on the longer strands at the nape of his neck. he tilted your face just slightly as he deepened the kiss. you pulled at his hair again, harder this time. he responded with a soft groan against your lips that sent a thrill right through you.
the world around you stilled, the hum of the city and dull throb of the club's bass melting away until all you could feel were his hands and lips on you.
you barely noticed how tightly you were holding onto him until he shifted, pressing you gently back against the brick wall just beside the club's side door, hidden in the shadows. the cool stone against your back only heightened the contrast. him, warm and solid and all-consuming in front of you.
he pulled away just enough to look at you, his breathing ragged. “fuck,” he said, voice low, hoarse. "you're..."
he didn't finish the sentence, just kissed you again. rougher, a little desperate and you felt yourself lose any grip you had left on restraint.
the kiss lingered, slow and drawn out like neither of you wanted to let go first. and when you finally did, when his lips pulled back from yours, they hovered there, still so close it was dizzying.
his hand on your neck travelled further up, brushing the stray hairs from your face. you smiled at him softly as you glanced up at him, "do you want to-?"
"yeah," he said before you could finish, like he already knew what you were asking. then softer, "only if you want to."
"my flat's like... a ten minuted walk."
he smirked, just a little. "lead the way."
and then you were walking fast, back through the city streets, his hand in yours. you tugging him just a little too quickly. he kept close behind you, his thumb brushing circles against your palm as the two of you moved through the streets like you’d always known exactly where this night would end.
the next morning.
sunlight streamed through the thin curtains, golden and quiet, pulling you from sleep. the first thing you noticed was the cool air against your bare shoulders. the second was the empty space beside you.
you rolled over, heart sinking just a little. the pillow still held his shape. the faint scent of his cologne lingered in the fabric but he was gone.
you sat up slowly, wincing at the dull throb behind your eyes. your flat was quiet, save for the faint hum of traffic outside. you reached for your phone on the nightstand, already half-expecting nothing. nothing, well except for a text from your friend.
your friend: saw you leave with that cute brunette. call us if u need saving xxx
you laughed softly, before reaching for the glass of water that sat on the table on the other side of your bed.
that was when you saw it.
a piece of paper folded neatly and placed where his head had been. your fingers moved before your brain caught up, unfolding it carefully. it was written in messy, slanted handwriting, black ink on plain paper torn from your notebook.
hey, sorry for running off like this.
i promise this wasn't a one night thing for me.

summary: A girl celebrating her birthday meets a guy celebrating his new album.
authors note: this is a random blurb that I wrote for funsises! Lmk if you guys enjoy and maybe I will write more. :)
Sweaty bodies grind up on each other—multicolored LED lights flash; purple, to blue, back to purple. The air is thick, yet most people are far too drunk to care. In the corner by the bar, a party of twenty-somethings all taking birthday shots. They cheer as they take in the pure liquor, vodka. A brunette girl wearing a “birthday girl” sash scrunches her face. Vodka was never her favorite but it sure did make her feel ecstasy. She's surrounded by her four best friends, celebrating the year's most important day. They cheer in excitement, already feeling wasted.
On the other side of the club, a group of twenty-something Irish men, sitting in a booth. Why were they at the club? They honestly didn’t know. They were far more accustomed to pub life if anything. Maybe it was to celebrate their near-finished album, which they had just finished recording for. Thirty songs in total, only nearly half would make it on the final product. The blonde bassist and the lead singer get pulled onto the crowded dance floor by their girlfriends, there to support their boyfriends and have some fun.
The drummer, never one for club culture, found himself walking to the bar in an attempt to order a red wine. The guitarist follows along, he already has a drink in hand, a beer. The birthday girl gets pulled onto the dance floor by her friends, ready to let loose to the random Lady Gaga-Bruno Mars remix playing. They sandwich themselves near the Irish lads, dancing awkwardly with their girlfriends. The birthday girl dances around without a care, her arms flailing around in the air. She felt the music in every cell in her body. Hungry eyes watch her like mountain lions spotting a naive fawn. She has no care. From the bar, the guitarist scans the dance floor, trying to spot his friends. Meanwhile, the drummer is going on about the awful transition from “Just Dance” to “24K.”
The guitarist finds his friends, having fun in the middle of the dance floor. The lead singer and his girlfriend sway to the music like it’s jazz. The bassist and his girl go ham, jumping around. He smiles at the sight. His eyes navigate to the eyes watching him. Her honey-brown eyes and full lashes pulled him in. She continues to dance with her friends, now feeling the need to impress the handsome stranger. He smirks as she moves around without a care, noticing her sash and the way her hair remains flawless. Her eyes navigate back to him, who continues to look in her direction. She says something to her friends, leaving the dance floor.
As she approaches the musician, he gulps, never feeling this nervous to talk to a woman before. She stops right in front of him. The brunette girl was never one to be so bold, but that’s the wonder of liquid courage. “You’re staring,” She says. His eyes were comforting like a cup of tea on a cold rainy day. He doesn’t know how to respond to her, his beer was not helping his brain function. “What’s your name?” She asks, trying to get more of a read on the mysterious man standing at the bar with a beer in his hand. “Josh,” She smiles at his response. “Dylan,” He smiles at her response. Somehow, she managed to make a boyish name sound effortlessly cool and feminine. “Happy Birthday,” He says referring to her sash. She graciously accepts his kind words.
The drummer sitting right next to them, watches in confusion, not realizing that his friend was no longer listening to his rant about terrible club remixes. The bassist in the crowd also notices his friend's interaction with the flirty girl, who’s playfully touching his friend's arm. “Looky there,” He nudges the lead singer. All eyes were on the guitarist and the birthday girl, standing at the bar. “You’re friends are staring,” She giggles. Josh nervously looks around, spotting three pairs of eyes on him. They quickly divert their eyes, not trying to ruin his moment. “And yours are jumping around like maniacs,” They look over to her best friends, who looked like they got stuck in a tornado. Messy hair and wrinkled clothes are the outcome of their drunk dancing.
“What are you doing here on a Friday night Josh?” She quizzes him. The girl had met her fair share of club rats. They were for everybody and anybody which she didn’t like. He seemed to be the opposite of that. He seemed fairly reserved. He for sure wasn’t dressed for the club, sporting a casual flannel and baseball cap. “Celebrating I guess.” She giggles at his answer. For someone “celebrating,” he didn’t look to be having much fun. “Do you dance?” Her fingers delicately grab his hand. He shakes his “no,” but the girl still pulls him away from the bar. They find a spot away from their friends, entering their own world. An annoying remix of a Snoop Dogg song plays, the blue lights get darker, and her arms find themselves around his neck. His arms snake around her waist, touching the exposed skin of her lower back. His hands are cold. Her hips move sensually to the pounding music, merely grazing his jeans.
Josh’s heart pounds as he dances with the intoxicated girl. She turns around, her back to his chest. She lets the music rule over her body as she claims his body as hers to dance on. His hands roam her body, doing his best to dance along with her. The birthday girl can feel the shots she’s taken leaving her system, he was sobering her up.
She turns back around to look at him once again. Her hands feel on his beard, it complimented his face wonderfully. She pulls him in, their lips interlocking. His pace is slow and rough compared to hers, rushing the kissing. She matches his tempo, their lips working in perfect harmony. His beard felt rough on her delicate skin. She breaks the kiss, her eyes searching his. With a lustful smile on both of their faces; he grabs her hand, leading her out of the club.

6. BitterSweet (Eli X Reader!) - requests: (1) pre-relationship!eli with an incrediblyyy oblivious and socially awkward girl that kinda avoided him bc he’s very charismatic and lowkey a fuckboy so she think he’s fucking with her and eli is tryna pursue her and making it obvious that he takes her really seriously + (2) i was just wondering if you could write an imagine where eli helps the reader with her anxiety / through an anxiety attack or something similar?

The nighttime air was crisp and there was a gentle breeze in the wind. Inhaler had just finished up yet another gig on tour and as they packed up y/n found herself outside the venue, leaning against the brick wall as she shared a cigarette with Elijah.
"Did you enjoy the show tonight?" Elijah asked lighting up his cigarette as they stood outside the venues backside, his usual cocky smirk plastered on his face.
"Yeah, you guys played really well!" she smiled, taking in his post-show appearance, messy hair stuck to his face with sweat and that gleam he always had in his eyes.
She fumbled with her camera, "I got some pretty good shots of you guys actually..."
Elijah chuckled, amused by her fumbling. He leaned against the wall, blowing out a stream of smoke.
"Oh yeah?" he asked curiously.
"Mind if I see 'em?".
She smiled, excited he cared this much. "Sure" she beamed, holding up the camera to meet his gaze as she flicked through a few shots. "They still need editing of course... but I think they're pretty good" she smiled, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
Elijah smirked, leaning in closer to look at the camera's display. He was impressed. "Damn" he said admiring her work."Those are sick." he continued, letting out a low whistle.
"You got a good eye for this photo stuff".
"Well I'd hope so, it's my job" she giggled, shaking her head at him as he spoke. She tried her best to hide the blush creeping onto her cheeks. She always felt nervous around Eli and she couldn't quite place a finger on why. Maybe it was his slightly intimidating appearance, or maybe the fact she'd been harbouring a secret (not so secret) crush on him for the past 6 months...
Elijah chuckled, noticing her blushing. He found her reaction almost amusing.
Before Before she could even utter a response Bobby came zipping around the corner in search of them. "Hey! You two, when you're done flirting the rest of us are waiting on the tour bus for ya" he jeered.
Elijah rolled his eyes at Bobby's arrival, annoyed at the interruption. He took one last drag of his cigarette before stubbing it out. "Yeah, yeah, we're coming." He said, his tone slightly annoyed.
He tossed a quick glance at her, noticing the blush on her cheeks. It only fueled his amusement. "After you darlin'" he said, gesturing for her to walk in front of him.
As they settled into the tour bus, Elijah found himself seated next to her. Their thighs barely touching, he couldn't help but notice. The ride to the hotel was short, but felt painfully long to Elijah. He couldn't keep his eyes off of her.
When they finally arrived at the hotel, he waited for her by the tour bus door, a smug smirk on his face. As she hopped off she grabbed 2 bags from the luggage rack, one gear bag and one slightly heavier bag filled with her personal belongings.
Elijah watched as she hopped off the bus, struggling with her bags. He chuckled and shook his head, amused by her situation. "You always pack this much stuff, darlin'?" he teased, grabbing the heavier bag from her along with his own. She thanked him briefly while also offering him a playful eye roll and a jab to the ribs.
He smirked as he followed her through the hotel lobby, carrying her bags with ease, as if they weighed nothing.
Y/n and the four boys headed in, grabbing their hotel room keys and going their separate ways to retire for the night but Eli followed y/n the whole way to her hotel room.
As they walked down the hallway towards her room, Elijah's thoughts wandered. He couldn't help but imagine what it would be like to be alone with her. He shook the thoughts from his head and focused on the present moment, following her silently with the bags.
Finally, they arrived at her room door. He set the bags down beside the door, his eyes meeting hers. Suddenly she stopped, stood in front of him in the doorway. "Thanks again El..." she said softly, maintaining eye contact.
"It's no problem" he smirked, holding her gaze for a moment longer until she broke it. They were close, good friends even, yet somehow he still always had this effect on her that made her feel like another one of his dumb fangirls.
She unlocked the door and flicked on the light switch, stepping in and setting the bags down in the doorway, closing the door behind them. He was fully aware of the effect he had on her, and it only fuelled his desire to tease her. He took another small step closer to her, their bodies nearly touching. His gaze lingered on her profile, his eyes roaming over features.
"You know," he said softly "you're awful cute when you're darlin'." She gasped at his sudden statement and looked at him like a deer caught in headlights, "I am not flustered?!"
He only leaned in closer, his face inches from hers. "You sure about that?" he teased, his voice low. "Your cheeks are awfully red?"
He reached out gently to brush a strand of hair away from her face, his calloused hands lightly grazing her skin.
The smile she once wore slowly dropped as she began to speak. "Eli...?" She whispered weakly.
He noticed her smile falter and quirked an eyebrow curiously, taking a small step back to give her a bit of space. "Yeah darlin'? What is it" he spoke carefully.
"Why..." she took a breath building the courage in herself
"Why do you always flirt with me...? I get that it's your personality and all but..." she frowned. "I don't wanna just be some game to you..." she mumbled the last part almost silent and filled with fear.
He was taken aback by her sudden honesty and vulnerability. He hadn't expected her to confront him about his behaviour, but he felt a pang of guilt in his chest. He ran a hand through his tousled hair, his usual cocky demeanor slipping for a moment.
"You think I'm just playing with you'?" he asked a hint of surprise and hurt in his voice.
"Aren't you?" she mumbled with a shrug, hugging herself with her arms as some sort of defence.
He looked at her, his expression softening at the sight of her self-hug. He felt horrible for making her feel this way. He took a step towards her again, his voice filled with sincerity. "No y/n, I'm not just playing with you."
He reached out and gently took her arms, pulling them away from her self-hug, gently holding her hands in his. "You mean so much more to me than some dumb game."
"Then why do you treat me like I'm one?! Like I'm just another girl you picked up on tour?" she mumbled faintly, tears pricking the corners of her eyes.
"I'm sorry y/n" he mumbled softly. "I don't mean to treat you like some game. I guess I've just been used to acting this way with girls, but you're different". He ran a hand through his hair, his expression conflicted. "I care about you. More than you'll ever know."
"I've had the biggest crush on you for as long as I can remember Eli... but you're also my best friend." she bit her lip anxiously."I don't want this to end, but I don't want it to be weird..."
He felt a mix of emotions flood through him at her confession. Surprise, guilt, and a rush of affection. He knew he felt something for her, but he had pushed it down, thinking it was just his flirty nature getting the best of him.
He gently squeezed her hands in his, his gaze serious and vulnerable."It won't end darlin'," he said softly. "I promise you. And I don't want this to be weird either." He took a steadying breath. "Can I be honest with you?"
She nodded slowly, fearful for whatever he was about to say.
"The truth is, darlin', I've been feeling something for you for a while now. It's like you said, you're my best friend, and I've always valued our friendship more than anything." He paused, choosing his words carefully.
"But, I can't deny this attraction between us. I've been ignoring it, thinking it was just me being my usual flirty self. But it's not just that...it's more than that."
Her heart ached for him at his words, wanting nothing more than to just be in his arms. "Do you promise...?" She whispered, gazing into his honey-brown eyes.
He nodded, his eyes locked on hers. "I promise" he said, his tone soft yet firm. "I won't mess this up. I won't mess us up." He pulled her closer, his free arm wrapping around her waist almost instinctively.
"I want this. I want you" he looked down at her, his expression both sincere and vulnerable.
She sighed in relief, a small smile reappearing on her face. Slowly she reached her arms up to wrap them around his neck and pull him closer to her. He drew her even closer, their bodies now fully flush against each other.
Unable to resist any longer she finally closed the gap between them, his lips crashing against hers in a passionate kiss. His hands gripping her hips, pulling her impossibly closer. She smiled against him at the contact.
She broke apart the kiss after a moment, their breathing heavy and erratic as he rested his forehead against hers, gazing deeply into her eyes. He could still taste her on his lips, and he never wanted to taste anything else.
"Eli?" She mumbled quietly, allowing her hands roam from his neck to his shoulders. "Mhm?" He replied softly, gently caressing her cheek with his thumb.
"Could you stay here tonight?" She whispered, searching his eyes for any sign of him not wanting to.
He felt his heart swell with affection at her question, and he knew without a doubt what his answer would be. "Of course, darlin'" he replied softly, his voice filled with sincerity. "There's nowhere else I'd rather be than with you."
He brushed a strand of hair away from her face and smiled warmly. "I'll stay as long as you want me, darlin'. All night. All week. All year. Hell, forever if you'll let me."
She giggled and nuzzled herself into the nape of his neck, taking in the faint scent of cigarettes and cologne. "Thank you El..."
He wrapped his arms around her, holding her close, relishing in the feel of her body against his. He buried his face in her hair, inhaling her scent and savoring the intimacy. "Don't thank me, darlin'". He murmured into her hair, his voice filled with tender affection. "It's my pleasure, truly."
He pressed a tender kiss to her forehead. They collapsed on the bed together, entangled in each other's warm embrace. It felt nothing but right, he gently ran his fingers through her hair soothing her into a peaceful slumber. She laid her head on his chest as they both drifted off into a peaceful sleep.
Now to announce their new relationship to the band...
