For the first time in months, Madeline felt happy. She didn't know if it was because of the break she had away from Baberton or the fact that her and Ryan were finally getting somewhere. After he promised he would try keep his anger in check, Madeline figured it was worth giving their relationship another try. She loved him, that never changed, even after all the terrible things that happened between them She knew they both had a long way to go in terms of having a healthy relationship, but she was willing to try as long as he was putting in the effort as well. In the back of her mind, she did have some doubts, but she wanted to believe that this time around their relationship would be fine, no fights, no running, no nothing, just happiness. Her therapist in London thought she was in denial, having discussed Ryan's anger issues, her therapist advised her to stay away from him, but Madeline refused to listen. She knew what Ryan was like when he wasn't angry. He was sweet, caring and everything she wanted in a man and that was good enough for her to believe that maybe he could be saved. All she had to do was be careful and not stress him out.
When Ryan suggested that do something tonight, she jumped at the chance to spend time with him. All she wanted to do was cuddle on the couch, eat food and watch movies like old times. She decided she'd pick the movie because if he chose, she'd have to watch some old historical documentary and that was not what she wanted to watch. She knew he didn't have any horror dvds, so she went to her apartment to search for something good. It didn't take long for Madeline to find what she was looking for. In one of the unpacked boxes in her bare sitting room was a few of her dvds. She grabbed the first one and turned it over to see what it was, it was The Grudge. She laughed to herself for a moment remembering the time she watched it with Lacey, her friend had her eyes covered for the whole film. Madeline loved horrors even though she was easily scared. She stuffed the dvd into her bag and made her way back to Ryan's apartment. The smell of Italian food hit her straight when she walked in. Her stomach rumbled loudly. God she was hungry. "Good, you didn't start eating without me."She smiled as she walked over to where he was sitting. She took the dvd out of her bag and placed it down on the coffee table. She couldn't wait to cuddle up beside him and watch it, but first she needed food. "So, what did you order? please tell me you got pizza. I'll love you forever if you ordered pizza."She laughed, licking her lips hungrily. Whatever he got, it smelled amazing and she couldn't wait to dig in.
