You jolted awake, staring wide eyed around your room as you came to your senses. It was just a dream. Nothing you had just experienced was real, and none of it could hurt you. That thought was not comforting enough to help you drift off to sleep though. Every time you closed your eyes, it was right there haunting you.
You grabbed your phone, noticing it was only 1am, not even a suitable time to give up on sleep. For a while you mindlessly flicked through games and apps on your phone before deciding to call your boyfriend Ryeowook for some comfort. You felt bad because of the time, but you knew he'd berate you for not calling if he found out you'd been alone and upset.
"Hello?" his groggy voice said from the other end.
"Hey," you replied, softly.
"What's wrong?" he asked, knowing you would only call this late with good reason.
"I had a bad dream," you told him. "I can't get back to sleep."
"Do you need to come round, or do you want me to come to you?"
"No, I just needed to hear your voice. It's comforting."
"That wasn't a yes or no question," he told you. "Give me a moment to find a jacket and shoes and I'll be right there."
"Really, Wook, you don't need to-"
"I do, you're upset, and you need my cuddles. I'm coming."
You couldn't help but smile at how caring he was as you thanked him. You really had won the boyfriend lottery when he asked you to be his.
Deciding sleep wasn't happening without Ryeowook beside you, you climbed out of bed and made your way to the kitchen. By the time there was a knock on your door, you had two cups of hot chocolate ready to be enjoyed.
As soon as you let him in, your boyfriend pulled you into a hug.
"I'm sorry you had a nightmare," he murmured.
"Thank you," you replied. "I made us hot chocolate. Can we sit in the living room and drink before bed?"
"Of course," he smiled as pulled back. "I love that you made me one too."
"I woke you up in the middle of the night. It's the least I can do."
"You know I'd rather you woke me than suffered alone," he pointed out.
"I do know, that's why I called."
He gave you a quick kiss, before the two of you snuggled on the sofa together in your pyjamas with hot chocolate in hand. Making sure to keep you distracted, Ryeowook engaged you in conversations about your day, and what you guys could do when you next had time off together. He knew that if you needed to tell him about your dream you would, otherwise taking your mind off it was the best thing he could do.
By the time the drinks were done you were starting to yawn. Putting the cups in the sink, soaking them so they could be dealt with tomorrow, the two of you headed to bed.
"Goodnight, angel," he whispered.
"Goodnight, my handsome prince," you muttered back.
There, safely nestled in between Ryeowook's arms, you were able to finally drift off into a peaceful sleep.

Your crush on your vocal trainer had gone unacknowledged, unadmitted, and unaddressed, and that was how you planned to keep it.
"I think you know the song," Ryeowook said once you finished completely singing through your newest single-- a romantic ballad-- for the first time. He leaned forward onto his keyboard and tilted his head at you as he asked, "But do you know the song?"
Confused, your eyebrows twitched at the question, and you shifted under the intensity of his gaze. "What do you mean?"
His laughter, as he threw his head back, was an airy giggle. "I guess that didn't make a lot of sense, huh? I just mean, you sang really well--"
He paused just long enough for you to bow and say, "Thank you."
"-- It was technically perfect, but there's something a little lacking in your delivery." As always, Ryeowook delivered his criticism so delicately, it was hardly recognized as anything other than praise. He advised, "When you sing these kinds of songs, you sort of have to draw from your own experiences--"
Noticing how you frowned at his advice, he asked, "Are you okay? I don't mean for it to sound like I don't think you perform it well. Your voice is beautiful-- I just think that if you want to really connect with your fans. . ."
He trailed off as you nodded your head more enthusiastically. "I get it," you promised, forcing a smile onto your blushing face. "You're saying that I should make the audience to believe I feel this way."
Staring down at the lyrics, you thought, that shouldn't be so hard. This part about how it's better left unsaid-- that's how I feel about Ryeowook, isn't it?
His curious gaze burned into you briefly before he asked, "Do you want to talk about it? Whatever's bothering you?"
You shook your head. Maybe you would tell him someday that he was the person who occupied your thoughts when you sang the song, but for now-- for the sake of the performance, you claimed-- it was best left unsaid.
You softly replied, "No-- not today," and urged him with a smile to play the piano from the start of the song.
For a lot of people, working on their birthday would put a dampener on the day, but for Ryeowook, the whole day felt like one big party.
While Super Junior were getting in some last-minute rehearsals for the concert that night, you had arrived with a cake and some gifts. The Super Junior boys had given you anything they'd got for him too so you could bring everything to surprise him with.
His face lit up as you walked in and everyone stopped what they were doing to wish him a happy birthday. Once you'd put down the cake and bags you were carrying, he hugged you.
"This is perfect," he told you, "I'm so pleased you're here for my birthday."
"Me too," you grinned, "And I get to watch a Super Junior show!"
After a couple of hours relaxing together watching Ryeowook open all his presents, you were all now stood side of stage waiting for their concert to start. Leeteuk was half way through a pep talk, when you heard the crowd start singing happy birthday. You noticed Ryeowook's eyes grow wide as he became quickly distracted and pulled out your phone to quickly record his reaction. He was staring off in the direction of the stage with puppy eyes and a happy little pout on his lips.
As he turned and saw your phone pointed at him, he knew what you were doing.
"This is so sweet," he said. "15 years and I never quite get used to all the love from ELF. Saranghae!" As he finished speaking he made a love heart with his hands and kisses with his lips.
When you lowered the phone, he spoke to you. "Can you send that to me? I want to share it and thank them."
"Of course I will."
"Ryeowook, you back with us? We're on stage in like 2 minutes," Leeteuk's voice interjected.
"Right, yes, I'm here," he said, turning back to the group, a smile still on his face as he prepared to go out and spend his birthday with his Ever Lasting Friends.
He’s by your side as often as he can be to always make sure that he’s there to offer you support or a hug whenever you need it. He’s always attentive around you and never pushes too much affection onto you that you don’t want.”

Ryeowook loves to read up on how big your baby is inside of your bump with every week that passes. Although it doesn’t always fill you with confidence knowing you’ve got to give birth to a pineapple, he still loves to read up on it and find out as much information as possible.

As much as he didn’t want to, Ryeowook couldn’t help but judge you at times for the things that you craved, especially when you turned down a meal cooked by him so that you could have takeout or a snack. You’d always be able to tell by the look on his face when he was confused as to how you could possibly eat what you craved.

Your due date was something that Ryeowook focused heavily on, despite you reminding him that it didn’t definitely mean that your baby would be born that day. It was marked on every calendar that he owned with plenty of circles around the date with a countdown on his phone too, so he knew exactly how many days there were to go, ignoring your attempts to try and get him to see that nothing was guaranteed for your due date.

For once, Ryeowook had to push his stubbornness to one side and trust in you whilst you were pregnant. Whilst he liked to think that he always knew what was best, with another human relying on now you were a little more adamant in letting Ryeowook know how you were feeling and what you wanted. Whilst he’d argue for a while, he’d eventually stop and trust that you knew what was best for the two of you.

Ryeowook had confided in you quite early into your relationship that he felt the pressure to have a child seeing as he was an only child and he wanted to be able to give his parents a grandchild. Whenever they asked, he hated telling them that you weren’t pregnant, so when he was finally able to tell them that you were pregnant, he was barely able to contain his excitement as he waited for the inevitable to be asked.

You both agreed from the start that you would find out the gender of your baby when you could as it was another answer to a question you could give. Neither of you wanted to end up having to explain why you decided to wait, so instead you found out so you could simply reply to people and tell them either boy or girl.

Instinct took over whenever he heard the beat of your baby’s heart as you’d glance down and see his fingers tapping away to the beat. Your head would shake back at him as he concentrated more on how quick or slow the beats were to make a rhythm rather than focus on the fact the beats belonged to your baby.

It was rare for you to get down whilst you were pregnant, for the most part you were very positive and optimistic, but on days when you had been able to achieve very little from your bump being a massive obstacle in the way, Ryeowook would always remind you that he loved you and that you were doing as good a job as you possibly could.

Even though people made a few attempts to try and make Ryeowook jealous, he was more than happy to stand his own ground in response, especially where you and his child were concerned. Whenever your baby kicked, the singer inside of Ryeowook couldn’t help but tap a beat back in response to what your baby did. He was completely fascinated by how each kick had a different strength or managed to catch a different place of your bump with your baby wriggling around so often too.

The main focus during your labour was supporting you, that was all Ryeowook was worried about. As soon as he heard you call out his name he would appear by your side and ask you what it was that you needed from him. Whether it was food, his hand, or just a distraction by listening to the sound of his voice, he did whatever he could in order to make the process even just the tiniest bit easier for you to go through.

He tried to draw a blank when it came to your morning sickness, convincing himself that it was nothing. Whilst he could cope with sickness better than most, dealing with it every morning was still far from pleasant for him, not to mention how hard it was for you too, the way you coped being something that Ryeowook admired.

You took control with your nursery and came up with a theme and shopped for most of the furniture too, whilst Ryeowook tried to put said furniture together, it wasn’t long before he was on the phone to some of the other members, enquiring about availability.

When the two of you first met, Ryeowook refused to talk to you. He was terrified of making an idiot of himself and stumbling over your words. If there was one thing that would never change in your dates, it would be that his phone would always be off so he could pay full attention to you.

He’d been on a few casual dates before he met you, but you were his first relationship since debut. He’d always been too busy to focus on a relationship, but as he began to get older, he knew he couldn’t wait forever to start thinking about settling down. Once you’d gotten over whatever it was you disagreed about, he’d love to tease you about it, it would take a little bit longer for you to get over things though, which Ryeowook understood.

Being an only child, his family were very protective over who he chose to spend the rest of his life. They were just as nervous as you were to meet them, but as soon as they did, they knew Ryeowook had made the right choice. They quickly bonded with you as you share your embarrassing stories of Ryeowook with them.

He wanted to take things slow with your relationship, which you were more than happy to do too. When he found a long stretch in his schedule that meant he’d be at home, he began to encourage you to move in with him. The more he thought about the idea, the more the idea definitely appealed to him.

Ryeowook ended up being the first to say it after a relatively big argument. He knew that he’d hurt you, much more than he ever intended, it was the first time he worried that he might lose you. It wasn’t very often that Ryeowook would get jealous, if someone wanted to try and make him jealous, he knew he was more than capable of standing his own ground. If he was jealous, he wouldn’t make a huge deal about it, he’d subtly move himself a little bit closer to you and react to everything you said to make sure that people knew you were his. He would never make a show of himself, but there would definitely be enough hints dropped.

Being single, he never gave it much thought, but when he met you, and your relationship progressed, he definitely began to think about it. No one you knew had a laugh as loud as Ryeowook, you could hear from the other side of the house when he got the giggles. The sound of his loud cackle was enough to brighten even the worst of days for you, it was a certain guarantee that the sound would put a smile on your face, which was something he loved to do too.

Everyone would think he was fine, except for you, when he was away. Around everyone else, he’d pretend to be fine and try and put a smile on his face, but the second he was alone or talking to you, he’d start to open up about how much he was struggling. He hated burdening his other members with his feelings, as it was a feeling very few of them would understand, and none of them could make the situation right like you could. He knew it was hard on you too, so even though he’d try and be strong when you spoke, it wouldn’t take long for him to begin to feel like breaking as he told you exactly how he was feeling.

You were a huge support in Ryeowook’s life, someone he really felt like he could confide in. He didn’t tend to talk much about his feelings, but with you, he could. You always knew how to help him and support him which meant the most to him.
V ⇴ VACATION
Any holiday the two of you went on was to relax. He loved being able to sit and do absolutely nothing with you. He’d always have his camera with you both too so he could record his trips and upload a video. The fans loved to see the two of you too, so your holidays were the perfect opportunity to deliver plenty of fan service.

If you didn’t laugh with him, he’d whine. He hated being the only one laughing in the room, especially with a laugh as loud as his.

He tended to kiss you most when he was feeling needy, he’d love to snake his arms around you and reach around to press several kisses to your cheek. Another occasion when he would kiss you the most is if you were sleepy, he’d often hold your hand kiss it to try and comfort you into sleep. He’d always wake you up with a kiss too, over time it had become a bit of a habit for you both, not that you ever complained about it.

As already mentioned, he loved to soothe you to sleep with plenty of affection, helping you sleep with a clear mind. Once he knew that you were asleep, he’d allow his own eyes to close and cuddle up further to you.
