Maybe I noticed you first, and I didn’t know how to tell you. Maybe before you sketched your first portrait of me, I wrote my first song about you. Maybe before you painted your first portrait of me, I hummed my first song about you.

I can’t remember the first time I saw you. You were a blurry picture at first because I only saw you through passing glances. If you caught me staring, I feared, my world would catch fire! Maybe that seems irrational now, but my fear was not baseless. My face had been burning scarlet since you appeared in one of those dull school hallways. Maybe you didn’t notice.

I remember the first time I heard you say my name, though. It happened in one of those dull school hallways. You were walking with Heechul. He tended to walk two steps ahead of you. How did you keep up with him? 

Maybe it wasn’t easy for you to keep up. You were out of breath, wheezing, when you told Heechul, “You better not tell Yesung that I like him! If you do, I’ll never forgive you.”

Smirking, Heechul stilled. You crashed into him. His smirk blossomed into a full smile as he grabbed you around to the shoulders to steady you. “Don’t kid yourself,” he said. “You couldn’t hold a grudge against me if you tried.”

The glare you shot at Heechul wasn’t even slightly intimidating. While Heechul howled with laughter, I snorted. I hid the sound by slamming my locker closed.

I don’t think you noticed. Still glaring at Heechul, you said, “I’m serious. I would be embarrassed enough if Yesung found out how much I like him. I’d be embarrassed and furious if he learned from your big mouth.”

“Hide your sketchbook a little better, then,” Heechul taunted. He reached for your little sky-blue book, but you shrank away from him. “You’ve said, what, two words to each other? Wouldn’t be embarrassing if he saw—”

Heechul stopped talking the moment you turned away from him. Hugging your sketchbook against your chest, you sped down the hallway. 

I brushed past Heechul on my walk toward you. I tried to catch up, but I don’t think you noticed. You were too far ahead. You were too quick for me.

I couldn’t catch my breath for the rest of the day. I was still breathless when I sat in my corner of the music room that afternoon. I tore a blank piece of sheet music out of my notebook, and on it I wrote my first letter to you. 

I wrote to tell you, I like you. 

And, It would be embarrassing if you knew how much I like you. 

And, Maybe it would be more embarrassing if you never knew how much I like you. 

And, Definitely it would be more embarrassing if I was too afraid to tell you how much I like you.

[He shoots her a wink as she giggles and flaunts her hand for him. Leeteuk lets out a low whistle.]

[The boys rush over to look at the big, shiny diamond that sits on her finger on a gold band. Most of the boys are impressed. Kyuhyun and Donghae are not.]

Sungmin- Did--did she insult us? I feel like she just insulted us.

Shindong- We just had our asses on blast. She’s the least of my worries.

SuJu Reaction: S/O is being bullied

Leeteuk

Wants to fix it. As a leader he is used to having to step in and diffuse situations which is what he wants to do here. He will either do what he can to stop them or remove you from any situation that gives them the opportunity.

Heechul

His focus is all on you. Are you ok? How can he cheer you up? Just wants to sit and hold you for a while. Will assure you that clearly the bully has issues because you are perfect so there's no way you could be the problem.

Yesung

Little ball of rage. Ready to solve this with violence if he needs to. Will be with you as much as he can and threaten the bully to get them to leave you alone.

Shindong

His reaction will depend a lot on how affect you are by it. His first thought is to be goofy and take your mind off of it. The he might try to take some serious action to get it stopped. Wouldn't get involved himself but would speak to someone in authority.

Eunhyuk

Protective boy. Keeps flicking between wanting to comfort you and wanting to sort out the bully. Knows the best way to cheer you up is to make it stop so will do what he can and then give you all the love.

Siwon

Starts asking lots of questions. Just wants to fully understand the situation so he can make his love feel better. Creates a safe space for you to talk and vent and escape when you need to.

Donghae

Probably going to end up just as upset as you are. Expect him to sit and cry it out with you before he starts to think logically.

Ryeowook

Sweet boy. Lots of empathy . Another one that will probably start crying too if you're crying. Will get emotional and give you compliments over and over until you believe it. Lot's of 'I love you's.  Almost forgets that you were being bullied because he was so focused on making sure you are alright.

Kyuhyun

Depends on the extent of the bullying. Might start hanging around you more when the bully could be present and just start doing it back, being his savage, petty self. If it's really serious or the bully gets physical with you, he'll report it to make sure the right things are done to stop it. Expect a cuddly affectionate Kyu when you're alone, just to make sure you're ok and feel safe.

5 stars - Donghae (fluff)

You stand in the kitchen of your apartment stirring a pot of soup on the stove. You happily dance on the spot while listening to your favourite songs coming out of the bluetooth speaker on the counter.

Your boyfriend Donghae had phoned you a couple of hours ago saying that he had to stay at work quite late today and that it has been a hard day. You would try anything to cheer up your loving and sweet boyfriend so you decided to try and cook him something special for when he gets home. You knew that he loved to eat seaweed soup so you figured this was an ample opportunity to try and make it for him. After searching up a couple recipes you got the gist of what to do. You headed straight to the supermarket to purchase the necessary ingredients and made a start after returning home.

Dipping a spoon into the pot you put it in your mouth to taste your creation. Hmmm, not quite right. You toss in a couple more spices and mix them in. Tasting it again you notice a slight improvement but still feel like there is something missing. Ah, the garlic! You find the garlic cloves and chop them up before adding them into the soup. After a couple minutes of stirring you taste once more and are taken by surprise as it’s actually quite good.

You leave the soup to simmer and you try and tidy up the place. It’s not that bad but you wouldn’t want Donghae to come home and for there to be mess everywhere. Knowing him he’d try and do chores even after having had a gruelling day at work. You just want him to put his feet up and let you take care of him.

You happily sweep the floor and remove the clutter before setting the table. Wanting to make the place look warm and inviting you dim the lights and place a couple candles in the centre of the table.

A few moments later you hear the sound of the front door opening and shutting. You turn around to see your gorgeous boyfriend. He removes his coat and hangs it up on the rack. You can tell from his posture and eyes that he is tired but he gives you a warm smile and gives you a hug as he greets you. “Wahhh, it smells so good in here. Have you been cooking?” He says as he releases you from his embrace. “Yes, I made you some soup. I hope you think it tastes as good as it smells.” you admit. “I’m sure it will” he says with a big smile.

He walks over to look at the pot. “Babe, this looks amazing. You didn’t have to do all this. We could’ve just ordered some takeaway food” he says looking guilty. “It’s no problem. I wanted to make you something special. I know you mentioned how much you love seaweed soup. I’ve never made it before but I wanted to try for you because I love you so much. I know you’ve had a tough day and I wanted to make you something nutritious and-“ you stop rambling as he plants a kiss on your forehead. Donghae cups the sides of your face with his hands and gives you that beautiful smile that makes your heart melt. “Thank you, my love” he says sincerely.

After changing into more comfortable clothes, Donghae reappears and takes a seat at the table where you’d already placed a glass of water for him and some cutlery. You place a bowl of the fresh soup in front of him and one for yourself as you sit across from him. Feeling anxious about his reaction your fingers slide up and down your thighs. He puts a generous spoonful into his mouth and makes a sound of delight, making you secretly sigh in relief. “Mmmmh, woahhh. It’s seriously delicious” he says and you beam from across the table. He eats another spoonful as you try some yourself. “Really, it’s so good. 5 stars” he jokes giving you a thumbs up. You just laugh and say “I’m so glad you like it.”

Shortly after enjoying your meal you head to bed since it’s late in the night. You snuggle close to your boyfriend under the covers. He holds you close to his chest and strokes your hair, thinking he’s the luckiest man alive for having such a beautiful and caring girlfriend.

After leaving the oven on, you took your phone to see the new text from your boyfriend, Donghae.

I'll be there in 40 minutes, please wait for me~

You smiled at the screen and replied back. Of course you'll wait for him at home. The dinner was almost ready and those 40 minutes were enough for you. Today was his birthday and you wanted to make it special for him, since you also would be celebrating 8 months together soon.

Quickly you headed to your room, where you changed your clothes to a beautiful dress of your favorite color. The time passed, and when the food was ready to be put on the table, the door unlocked. You knew it was him, you heard his steps coming inside after taking off his shoes at the doorframe. Feeling a little anxious, you put the two plates on the decorated table and made your way again to the kitchen to take the drinks.

“Y/N! I’m home! Oh, what is this?”

“It’s for us, for you,” you beamed, leaving the kitchen with the glasses of wine on your hands. “Happy birthday, honey!”

Donghae smiled at you and took the drinks in your hands, giving you a kiss in the process. “Thank you, but let me help you.”

“Sure.” You couldn’t avoid the heat running in your cheek at his little gesture. 

Even if today you had free day at work and he just came from it, perhaps a little tired, he was able to do small stuff to help you as well. You both sat on the table, lighting the candles on it.

“This looks delicious, Y/N. Thank you, I love you,” he said, curving his lips on a shy smile. “I mean it with all my heart, and you look beautiful.”

“I love you too. Happy birthday again, my love,” you admired his grateful expression on the other side of the table. Donghae took your hand on his, intertwining your fingers together as he took the first bite of it. He hummed at how delicious it was.

You both ate together, talking about how was your days went and joking. However, in the middle of your chat, the doorbell rang.

“Are you waiting for someone?” you inquired.

“No...”

Suddenly, some knocks on the door alerted you. They were louder and louder everytime, and made you furrow your brows. As Donghae stood up from his seat, he spilled the wine on his shirt by accident.

“Oh god-”

“Let me help you!”

“No, no, it’s ok! I’ll do it,” he said, going quickly to the kitchen to clean himself. “I’m coming!” he yelled. The knocks were even louder now.

Annoyed, you stood up, and heard a familiar voice coming inside along with some steps. Making your way to the door, you heard the voices singing happy birthday to your boyfriend with loud music and screaming. They were so noisy.

“Donghae!~ Happy birthd- Shit! What are you doing here? And dressed like this!”

“What are you doing here?!”

You saw his members on the hallway. All of them looked at you as if you were a ghost or something, in shock. Heechul even had to remove his sunglasses to see you better, and the other members just stood in place.  Shindong even carried a radio on his shoulder that quickly turned off. Well, you were screwed.

“What is this? Are you having a hip-hop party or something?” you asked to your brother, pointing at his outfits.

“Well, I’m not answering until you do!” Heechul screamed, walking towards you.

“Stop yelling at me!”

Your brother made his way inside when he saw the table with food and a nice half-eated diner.

“Are you dating?! Why you didn’t tell me?!” he asked, taking a bite of your plate. “It’s delicious...”

“I want something too!” Kyuhyun said, following your brother.

You sighed, burying your face in your hands as they made their way inside, asking questions about you two that you didn’t answer, and stealing your food.

“God, I’m so sorry for this...” Donghae appeared behind you.

“It’s okay, how they managed to get in anyway?”

“Eunhyuk has the password,” he said, embarrassed and rubbing the back of his neck. You rolled your eyes, of course it was Eunhyuk and the little bastard was sitting on your place, turning on again the radio.

“My D, happy birthday!” he smiled lovingly to him.

“He’s mine, you know?”

“Oh, so you’re really dating!” Ryeowook stepped in.

“How?! Why didn’t you tell me?” Heechul asked, hurted. You rolled your eyes again, he was such a drama queen with you. “I’m your older brother, you know.”

“Because my romantic life isn’t relevant.” 

Heechul lifted a brow, judging you from afar. “It is when you’re dating Donghae!”

“What’s the problem? He’s a good man,” you shrugged.

“I know him, that’s the problem,” he said.

“Listen, I’m sorry that we didn’t tell you about us, but I love her and I’m just asking you to give me the permission that I deserve to date her.”

You hit Donghae on the stomach. “What the hell are you doing?!”

“How much time have you been dating?” Shindong asked, leaving the kitchen with the large food pan. You didn’t even know he was there.

“Eight months.”

Heechul freaked out, while Shindong, Leeteuk, Siwon and Yesung were celebrating and laughing while eating, the other members were just disappointed under your confused, narrowed eyes.

“We had a bet,” Yesung explained. “They said you wouldn’t have more than 6 months.”

“You owe us 30k wons each, or a nice diner, you decide,” Leeteuk mocked to his youngsters.

“Ok, it’s enough. First, you all didn’t say anything to me, you’re assholes,” Heechul pointed to the members on the table. Crossing his arms, he went back to your boyfriend. “Second, I think that you might deserve a chance, but if doesn’t turn out well or if you hurt her, I’ll make you suffer. Understood?”

“Yes, thank you,” Donghae bowed to him with all seriousness. A smile appeared on your face.

“Fine, now you got my permission. I just want to eat and happy birthday!”

Your brother hugged him tightly. Heechul couldn’t be mad at Donghae, you knew him too well, and it seemed that all the members knew you even better. Heechul then hugged you tightly, almost leaving you out of breath.

“I love you, Y/N. But please, don’t hide things from me,” he said. You could hear Donghae joining in the chaos on the dinner table with his members.

“I’ll try,” you patted his back. “I can’t promise that though...”

“Why?” he broke the hug suddenly.

You half-smiled, shyly. “We live together too.”

“Y/N, what the fuck!”

It was going to be a tough night.

Lee Donghae: Pregnancy News

-You took the test secretly, wanting to be sure first before telling Donghae anything. You don’t want to be telling Donghae that you are pregnant, getting him all riled up just for the results to come out negative.

-So here you are in the bathroom, sitting on top of the cubicle shaking your legs nervously. Has 3 minutes always felt this long?

-You stared at the kit intently, and slowly 2 lines start to appear. You immediately jumped, tears of joy falling. YES! YES! YES!

-You got out of the bathroom, sitting on the edge of the bed. One hand holding the kit and the other googling how to surprise Donghae with the news. 

-Not long after, the door to your home starts to unlock, and you can hear Donghae’s voice. “Babeeeee, are you home?”

-You panicked, you haven’t decided what to do or say. Shit.

-You heard Donghae’s humming getting louder and nearing you. You stashed the kid in the night drawer and adjusted yourself. “I’m in here!”

-Donghae opened the door, peeked his head and smiled when he sees you. He took a seat beside you after kissing the top of your head. 

-”What did you do today?” he asked, slowly taking off his jacket to change to into a simple t-shirt and jeans.

-”nothing,”, you replied. An idea popped into your mind. “I baked today!”

-He turned to face you, “bake? I didn’t see anything on the counter?”

-You giggled, holding out your hands to invite him to sit back beside you. 

-”Babe, the bun is in the oven,” you calmly said, looking right into his eyes.

-”What bun? I literally just walked by the kitchen and the oven. There’s no bun.”

-You sighed, this is gonna take a while. You took a deep breathe again, “sweetheart, listen properly, the BUN is in the OVEN.”

-He arched his brows, “love, do you want me to get you buns? I can go down to the cafe and get them for you.”

-oh. my. god. 

-okay, you thought, let’s try this another way.

-”okay, then get buns enough for 3 people!” you exclaimed. There’s no way he can’t get this, right?

-”You must be really hungry babe. Alright, give me 15 minutes,” he says, as he stood up to grab his wallet, keys and the baseball cap.

-”for the love of god, I’m pregnant Donghae!” you finally burst. Donghae dropped his cap and immediately rushed back to your side, one hand immediately caressing the sides of your face, and the other on your stomach.

-”is it true? are you really pregnant?” he softly asks, eyes slowly getting wetter.

-You nod your head and stretched yourself to grab the test kit you stashed earlier. He took the kit and tears started rolling down his cheeks. “It’s positive! Babe, it’s positive!”

-You vigorously nod your head and hugged him, “We are gonna be parents,” he whispered.

-Donghae broke the hug, “wait, so you don’t want buns? what even was the buns about?”

-You rolled your eyes and just kissed him. “The bun is the baby,” you say against his lips, kissing him, “the oven is my womb.”

-You felt Donghae smiled against the kiss, finally understanding what you have been trying to tell him. Donghae pulled you closer to him, his hot breaths ghosting you and his lips brushing yours. “I love you.”

Donghae’s hands covered your eyes as he lead you into your shared bedroom. You wobbled in front of him, trying not to trip over his feet. He finally stopped you in the doorway.

“Ok, keep your eyes closed,”

He removed his hands from your face. You heard him move to somewhere else in the room. You waited excitedly for him to let you open your eyes.

“Alright open your eyes on three.”

Donghae counted down and you opened your eyes. You gasped as your eyes scanned the room. The floor was covered in flower petals and candles lit the room with dim lighting. On the bed was a small wrapped gift and a bouquet of flowers. You looked over to the expectant Donghae

“Aww Hae~” you walked over to him, wrapping your arms around his neck, “you’re so sweet!”

“I just wanted to make your birthday special.”

You kissed his lips softly, smiling into the kiss. Donghae pulled away after a bit and ushered you over to the bed. He made you sit down and placed the present in your hands.

“Open it!”

You giggled at his excited behavior. You tore the wrapping paper off and opened the little box. Inside was a delicate looking silver bracelet. You carefully took it out and looked up at Donghae.

“Donghae I can’t accept this! It looks too expensive!!”

“No, you’re taking it! I got it especially for you. Because I love you.”

He took the bracelet from your hands and grabbed your wrist. He placed the bracelet on your wrist and secured it.

“See? Doesn’t it look nice?”

You sighed. You knew he was right. It was beautiful and just perfect for you. You wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled his lips to yours, thanking him as you kissed him.
