The running theory is that Lustre not only inherited my generally high levels of anger, but also Sonic’s righteous fury at Geraldine.

Oh, and they don’t just hate me now. They hate other stuff too, like sounds and smells and the colour blue which might ??? Be part of why they hate me so much??

Mm. I do find it cute. I was worried at first that Sonic might be hiding that she was upset over it, but she seems genuinely amused by Lustre’s hatred for her.

I am! I mean, so long as they stop hating me sometime in the next couple years, anyway.

That is to say…no, I’ve never been physically sick. I have been injured, but I’m sure you’re aware that I heal quickly.

Hey, world! Say hello to baby Lustre.

Healthy and strong. And loud! Already way louder than the twins ever were as newborns, hah. They’re a fighter, that’s for sure.

Shadow is, um… she’s okay. Well… she hasn’t woken up yet. But she will! Definitely. She’ll be fine. She’s on Angel Island right now with Knux. Everybody thought I should probably go home with the kids, so… leaving her with Knuckles. Big’s there, too, for support. And Tails, of course—my Tails is at Angel Island and guy Tails is at my Tails’ workshop.

Does that make sense? Heh. Haven’t slept all week. Brain’s all scrambled.

… I need my Shadow…

I'm very glad you are awake and well Shadow. I don't know if your stomach is strong enough for it but I want to give you a nice box lunch with a sandwich of your choice, chips, and a pastry of you choosing (perhaps tiramisu?).

Also, please be aware that from all the traumatic stuff you went through and the dip in your pregnancy hormones, postpartum depression may hit you pretty hard. If you deal with it, I have also included some meds that will help you with it. You don't have to take them but they are there for you regardless. While the health of Lustre matters, you need to watch your mental health for the next couple of months.

Hey, it’s all good! I had trouble when they were younger, they were the same colour when they were little. Getting easier now that their colours are coming in stronger.

Nova has three stripes, Lyra has one.
