About the Tales

I realize I haven't updated the Tales of Mutinous and Royalists for a long time. (it's the trolls' ancestor stories.) That's because the 3rd act is a combination of two smaller acts: how the Mutinous came to meet and how the Mutiny took place, and that second part is hard to write. I'm writing it, don't worry, but it's not a top priority right now. By the way, each act corresponds to a part of Cascade. If you stretch your imagination hard enough, it does. The epilogue's theme would be Do you remem8er me, and marks a transition between the Tales and Zodiacstuck's present events. Most of it is lore, and background information about Ryudra's fallen friends. But some parts of it tie into a plot device's timeline. Also it's something I wanted to do.

Scrapped Ideas #7

Concept: Ryudra's wings being bat-like.

Rejected because: Traditional dragon wings would have been just fine on her design, but here's the twist: only Western dragons have these wings, while Ryudra's an Eastern dragon. Those are the long, snake-like dragons with whiskers you see in Chinese art. And they don't have wings.

Recycled as: Eastern dragons fly using magic; the new wing design was a compromise. Wing-shaped clusters of fur serve as magic receptors, while the floaty tentacular whiskers serve a practical purpose. I might make a post about it.

Took me about half a week, with the usual PaintToolSai and Vegas Pro 13.0.

This was an interesting practice, along with a great opportunity for character development. This animatic style is fun to do, as well as easy enough. Maybe I could do some videos here and there, to add content.
