look at this guy
I would make a nice inspiration for an obscure character for an horror/gothic manga, don't you think? Could someone skilled and kind, please draw me wearing this look? ♡

SPOILERS
SPOILERS!!
So sorry I can't put this with a "keep reading" option, I'm actually on my tablet and I'm pretty sure I just don't have that option. So, please, I don't want to spoil anything for anybody, so, if you prefer to wait, the moment you see this post, scroll past it! Thank u so much!! 💖💖
So, Ikari Gozen...
I haven't seen the live stream, but I have watched the spoilers and I can confidently say this is one of those episodes the fandom has been waiting for for a long time.
Firstly, because it has some more than awaited Kagami-Marinette bonding time, and secondly, because this episode has brought us a wonderful gift; a true insight on their interactions and development of the two. Especially Kagami.
Why Kagami?
Because, mainly, she's the one who's appeared less (obviously) and whose appearances have portrayed her in a far from positive light many times. Whereas this episode has finally shown us how she truly is, making her a lot more humane. Ikari Gozen has given us a Kagami who just wants to make friends, but doesn't know how.
In other words, Kagami is just socially awkward, instead of the cold, apathetic version of her we've seen so many times before directed to whoever that wasn't Adrien. And, boy, do many of us relate.
Of course, this could've been deduced before in her previous appearances and I just so happen to have missed it (don't be confused though, I was never a Kagami hater, I always remained hopeful), however, as I was saying before, her previous roles made her look completely uninterested in spending time with other people but Adrien. Luckily, this episode finally brought us back the eager-to-meet-Marinette Kagami from Riposte many of us missed and loved.
Kagami's dialogue in this episode hints too that the reason why she's bad at making friends is that, just like Adrien, she's had a very isolated, training-focused life; as well as her mother has some very strict rules and is very distrusting of other people, which makes her seem as being almost as picky as Gabriel when it comes to her daughter's affiliations.
And speaking of Adrien, her conversation with her mother helps us realise Kagami is well aware that her friendship with Adrien is not enough, even going as far as saying that "...it's different". This opinion is most likely based on her crush on the model telling her they should be more than friends; which leads Kagami to look for a true friend and not just a friend who is also a potential boyfriend. And who better than Marinette, amirite? ;)
If that doesn't make Kagami more humane, this should do the trick:
Unlike her previous appearances, which portrayed her as confident or even cocky to some fans, this episode demonstrated or rather, allowed us to see in depth, Kagami's hidden insecurities; her insanely high expectations on herself and her fear of not being good enough.
Again, this was hinted in Riposte, but it could've been understood as Kagami not being as comfortable as losing as she let on. However, now we got to see the true depth of Kagami's fears. To the point it becomes both tragic and endearing.
Tragic because, most likely fueled by her mother's strict training and rules, or her obvious superiority at fencing; Kagami is convinced a mistake, even the tiniest, most insignificant one, is unforgivable; something she proved as Ryuuku (sorry if it's misspelt), when her recklessness led Chat to be captured and afterwards she almost gave her miraculous up and thought the reason Ladybug couldn't give her the miraculous again was because, according to Kagami, she had failed and wasn't worthy of a miraculous nor good enough. Thank Goodness Ladybug actually explained it all both times!
And endearing because, as I said before, this only makes her more humane! She's just a teenaged girl who wants to make friends badly but just doesn't know how, getting very nervous because she's in unknown territory. Very similar to Marinette when she's around a certain blond, don't you think?
I guess all I want to say is "Thank you", Miraculous staff. You've given me my faith in Kagami back; it was wonderful.
Let's go for a random My Hero headcanon!
Ryuuku is Kirishima's aunt on his biological mother's side.
