It's a little past six o'clock in the morning right now and the first thought I had when I woke up was 'What a jolly green fucking giant'.

Shizuo didn’t know what to expect when he walked back into town. The people walked by him as if they hadn’t noticed him, the behemoth finding their ignorance to his presence quite disarming. He felt isolated, lost among the crowd as they appeared to not give a damn that this creature walked among them once again.
It was...strange, he thought whilst an odd feeling overcame him. His fingers twitched as they searched for his cigarettes, only finding the empty carton he had stashed away in his pocket hours previously. He wondered if this was a good thing. That his reputation had all but vanished as did he for that period of time. Perhaps now he could live that peaceful life he had always wanted. And yet, as the minutes passed, the more he realized that unsettling feeling he had never wavered. And the more he watched all those strangers pass by, he began to realize that perhaps this wasn’t what he wished for.
