Everyone thought Anisha would turn out to be some evil Venari-Ral mastermind, when in reality she ended up being the most realistic version of herself we could have imagined 🥺 I cried when Caleb got the messages and during their reunion 😭 the angst is so good!!! And she is stronger than me, because if I woke up on a Federation ship and the first thing I saw was Nahla Ake someone would drop dead immediately.

Speaking of Nahla!!! She’s doing everything right, I love her 🥹 “He’s not keeping my ship. This isn’t over.” YEAHHH TELL THEM!!

Nus Braka the villain of all time. You can feel the dread he imposes without him even being physically there 🫠

Ukeck looked so cool!! Very Star Wars-coded (and I mean that as a compliment) 🙂‍↕️ Also I loved their outfitsssss ✨✨✨

I saw people saying Caleb’s character is inconsistent, but I disagree. I think everything he’s doing makes perfect sense considering his background and development, and I love seeing him be conflicted.

Kerrice is such a good actress. You can FEEL how this new version of Sam is different (and it’s not just because the costume department put her in pants lol). Her fighting with Genesis HURT MEEE but it makes sense and really deepens their bond. Loved her scenes with Caleb + THE DOCTOR BEING HER DAD 🥺🥺❤️

GENESIS LOOK AT ME. You cannot possibly be hurt by being called selfish. There is NO WAY you actually believe that about yourself. That is the OPPOSITE of who you are. GENESIS BABY PLEASE 😭😭

Darem being a lightweight was so funny, why is he so me 💀 And him getting covered in blood… ugh why is he so favorite character shaped 😩 He has grown so much. You could really see it, especially in his friendship with Caleb. Also him being the one to call Caleb out on abandoning Jay-Den? And the way he was acting during the ritual 🙂‍↕️ I am eating up the Jayrem crumbs 😋

Possibly a hot take, but I didn’t mind Jay-Den not being on the shuttle with them 🤷‍♀️ That plotline was already crowded as it is for being Caleb-centric. They’re all going to be together in the finale anyway.

Same goes for Tarima. ALSO!!! Jay-Den and Tarima crumbs!!! No longer a duo I made up!!! When Caleb told her, “I hope you find peace and happiness, you deserve it,” THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT I’VE BEEN SAYING WORD FOR WORD 🥹🥹

Again, this was already a crammed episode full of stuff, and I get not every character being forcibly included. It makes sense to exclude the War College etc. But is Ocam only part of the family/friend group when it’s plot convenient? Not even a mention? 🥲 As far as secondary characters go, Kyle is only tied to Jay-Den, but Ocam is tied to all of them, including Caleb.

There is some lore stuff I’m confused about. I hope someone smarter / more well versed in Star Trek lore than me will explain it 😅

Perfect buildup to the finale. I really, really wish we had more than 10 episodes to develop things more (especially the dynamics between the cadets) and fill in the blanks, but oh well 🤷‍♀️

Overall: loved the episode. Lots of very hard-hitting scenes 👍👍👍
