On October 15, 1992, Sega CD released their first Interactive Movie using game play referred to as full-motion video or FMV. While the game, titled Night Trap, got mixed reviews, it became a target of opponents of violence, leading to it being removed from Toys R Us. It featured heavily in the Senate hearings on video game violence, which prompted the creation of the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) rating system.
