lol no matter how many metas you make up from the 13.13 episode. Dean is NEVER going to side or choose Cas over Sam. Sorry not sorry :-)

Okay I’ve been sitting on this ask for a little bit wondering if I should even answer it. But I decided that I should make something clear. 

When I said that I think there could be rift coming between Sam and Cas, in which I believe Dean will mostly side with Cas, I didn’t mean that I want Dean to choose sides. What I meant was, I think something similar to what happened in season 10 could be in the works. 

MOC!Dean did not want Sam or Cas to help him, but Sam and Cas thought it would be best for Dean if they went behind his back to try to help get rid of the Mark. I think something similar could happen with Sam and Dean/Cas. 

Sam is hitting his low point, he’s running on empty, and from the looks of it, he was not happy about Cas working with Lucifer. 

I can see a scenario where Dean fills in Cas about what’s happening with Sam, and they decide once they get in contact with whatever to open a rift to get Jack, that Dean and Cas decide to go without Sam, thinking they’re protecting him or something. 

I can see a scenario where it’s like the beginning of season 5, where Sam and Dean think it’s better to be apart from each other for the moment.

I can see a scenario where Sam and Dean get into a full on argument before it’s time to go, and Dean takes Cas with him instead of Sam into the rift. 

Because, for whatever reason, this whole season Sam has been framed as being a separate entity from Dean and Cas. And Sam doesn’t appear to be in Purgatory 2.0 with them in the 13x14 promo. 

So, yeah, I think there’s a conflict coming that is going to split Sam/Dean or Sam/Cas apart, while Dean/Cas will stick together. BUT I don’t think it will be as black and white as Dean choosing Cas over Sam. 

It’s getting into the final half of the season, and things are about to get complicated. I was just proposing a way that I think that complication may arise, based on what I’ve seen so far.

Normally I don’t do speculation posts but my guess is that it’s Rowena (not Gabriel 😞) who sends Sam and Dean into Scoobynatural bc of that purple flash in the teaser but honestly idfk

Dean possessed by Michael????? The Sam girls/guys will hate me for this, but I've been wanting Dean, using a special weapon of divinity, to kill Lucifer for awhile now.

Honestly, with all the face-stealers we’ve gotten this season - the shifter and the Empty from 13x04, the ghoul from 13x06, Asmodeous, Zachariah’s visions in 13x14, Gabriel’s return - I’ll be nothing short of stunned if we don’t get Michael!Dean at some point, even if only for half an episode. So much delicious angst to be had with the scenario.

Also, Sam’s already gotten his ‘save the world’ moment in Swan Song, it’s Dean’s turn to do something special (although hopefully not by dying permanently). Not sure if I’m really into Dean killing Lucifer specifically, however - I’d rather have Sam (and some combination of Cas and/or Rowena, Mary) get his closure by being the one to do Lucifer in. Dean’s fight (this season, or next, depending if Michael succeeds in breaking through or not) needs to be with Michael since they never got to properly duke it out in s5. Someone suggested that Michael was going to ‘die by his sword’ ie. Dean as the Michael sword, Dean being God’s true warrior of good, and there’s so much poetic justice to be had in that one sentence, I can’t see any other ending that wont leave me a tad disappointed if we don’t get this.

My thoughts on the sneak peek: - I will be shock if they will burn Cas' body. I'm hoping it will be Kelly's. We all know that burning someone's body means, no turning back - there'll be no vessel that will coming back. I thought Dean will suggest to Sam to bury his body in case of Cas coming back to life... or vice versa, I don't know. - But if they will ever burn Cas' body, there is a possibility that: a.) his body didn't burn because someone (an angel or Chuck, it was seen on the sneak peek that someone took Cas' body.) wanted to "restore" his body. b.) It has something to do with the Empty. The writers/creators said that Cas is indeed returning but not the same Cas as before (maybe like in season 8) - The part when Dean is listening on something.. I wish it was the mixtape (his gift to Castiel). It will be heartbreaking and quite adorable. hahaha. - I'm excited to see Dean's grief, you could actually see in his face that he's done and not to mention the beers that was shown on the preview. - Jack is so cute, he actually reminds me of Cas when he started to interact with humans - his innocence. He also looks like a mix of Michael (Matt), Luci and Dane Dehaan. Hahaha, so cuuute. - Why the hell I have this feeling that Jack will be like temporary "replacement" to Team Free Will? Hahaha. Damn. I'm so excited for season 13.

Dearest ‘Anonymous’!!  I lost your ask when I was trying to answer on mobile. To recap for everyone else, it was about whether or not Jack would be able to reawaken Sam’s psychic powers from when he was drinking demon blood. This was based on the powers we saw him lend to Cas in 12x19 and an interview with Jared at the SDCC where someone asked him this question and he thought it was possible.   

I too think it could be a possibility. They’ve certainly made it clear that Jack is very powerful and he was able to give Cas a big power boost while still in the womb.  So I don’t think it would be too much of a stretch for Jack to reawaken dormant powers in Sam. To somehow enable Sam to tap into those powers without resorting to drinking demon blood again. It all depends on where they go with the story.

I know some of us are expecting the show to revisit Sam’s psychic abilities (And Missouri will be back for at least an episode!) or to see him further develop his skills as a witch as part of his end game and accepting these parts of himself.

I thought Rowena or the Banes twins might rekindle that flame for Sam and guide him on that journey, but perhaps it could be Jack.  

If Sam’s supernatural side is what he’s always hidden about himself and been ashamed of, then Dean, as a parallel, has been ashamed of and hidden his bisexuality.  If Jack is responsible for bringing Cas back (eventually), thus enabling Dean with the opportunity for a ‘do-over,’ to be true to himself and finally embrace Cas as more than a brother, then maybe Jack could be responsible for giving Sam a ‘do-over’ opportunity with his supernatural side. Sam too, could finally embrace this repressed side of himself.

I do think it’s something they should explore for Sam and the endgame for his character, because Sam has always run from the supernatural.  When he went off to college and when he tried to live with Amelia, he wanted nothing to do with his previous life.  He kept everything supernatural related hidden. He buried that part of himself.  Amelia and Jess didn’t know about it.  

(And now this is making me think of the beauty of him developing a relationship with Eileen, a hunter who understood him and his life. She could relate.  He didn’t have to hide that side of himself from her… *cries*.  I’ll cling to my conspiracy theories on that until proven otherwise.)

Where was I?  Oh right, so yeah, Sam and Dean both need to accept themselves completely to be truly at peace.  

That means Dean kissing Cas and Sam using his powers (of the psychic or witch variety) in a totally chill way where he gets to help people.  I just finished watching s1 and these boys have come so far.  They can make it a bit further.

Dean, 13.01: I HATE JACK I'M GONNA KILL HIM

Dean in 13.04 after Patience tells him that Jack can get Cas back, or something like that: hey kid how are the burgers?

i've had this idea, kai. everyone was spreading rumors a while back that maybe jdm would be back as john? i personally don't think it would actually happen but if it did, i was theorizing this: john would come back from the AU realm but not as john, as if john said yes to michael. we all know it's possible for him to be a viable vessel for him, michael has also has been rumored to come back in s13 too, and this theory has been stuck in my head and nagging at me for a while. any thoughts?

I’ve actually been considering this, too. I almost think they’d have Matt Cohen, rather than JDM, but we’ll be blessed to get either. I’ve heard a lot of speculation/hints that the “big bad” of S13 will, in fact, be Michael. Which brings a lot of possibilities to the table. If it is AU Mikey, we’d have to consider how different he might be from our Mikey, and whether or not he’d want to work with or against Lucifer. 

And if he is still opposed to Lucifer, since, clearly, the Apocalypse has already taken place in this AU verse, I’d almost wager he’s already defeated Luci, and maybe God is still MIA. If that’s the case, imagine his reaction to meeting our world’s Lucifer alive and well… He’d be either enraged, or maybe he’s had a change of heart since defeating him the first time, and sees it as a second chance. 

Personally, as the die-hard Luci fan I am, I’d like to see Lucifer’s reaction to this post-Apocalyptic world be a positive thing; he admits to himself that this is never what he wanted: a land without Sam, a land without hope or life or love… a land without his son… And he ends up working with the Winchesters to stop Michael in their own world. As much as I’d love some brotherly fluff, we could always hold out for that later with insane in-the-cage Mikey.
