Season 2: Liar Liar
Beauty and the Beast
Episode 2.03
Title: Liar Liar
Story by: John A. Norris/ Director: Bradley Walsh
Original Airdate in US: October 21, 2013/ Network: The CW
“Liar Liar” was aired in Italy on July 10, 2014/Network: RAI 2
The episode was entitled ‘Liar, Liar’. I must say it captured the theme of the episode quite well. It is an interesting episode of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST since now you realize that Muirfield made a lot more beasts. In this episode Catherine attempts to hide her bruises, Vincent tries to hide so much of who he really is, Agent Reynolds is hiding something to Vincent and Heather finally gets to stop hiding the truth about Cat's father from her sister. At this point on “Beauty and the Beast,” even love is a lie. That’s what become apparent to just about everyone in the “Liar, Liar” episode. Sure, some of those lies are for good causes. But I think nothing good come out of something as fundamentally bad as a lie.
In this episode we have the debut of a new writer, while we have a familiar name in the director’s chair. His last contribution to the show was episode 1x14: Tough Love, previously he has directed the episode 1x04: Basic Instinct.
shades of grey
S2x03 - Bloodlust
GORDON: Know why I love this life? DEAN: Hmm? GORDON: It's all black and white. There's no maybe. You find the bad thing, kill it. See, most people spend their lives in shades of gray. Is this right? Is that wrong? Not us. DEAN: Not sure Sammy would agree with you, but uh...
This episode is a big shades of grey ep, and we got referenced back to it in this episode by Ketch, before we got asked to look at his shades of grey. nbd. Sam and Dean have been on a long road to where they are, they’ve hurt good people, gotten people killed, and Dean calls them monsters (and it’s the truth), but they’re still ‘the good guys’ right? good and evil are subjective and this show still pivots on the same questions it was asking 12 seasons ago.
Ketch: Isn’t that what we hunters do? Kill the bad thing?
I thought it was just clunky dialogue. /rolls eyes at self.

Merlin Secrets and Magic Episode 3: Casting the Magic
Katie Mcgrath: Episode 3 is the first time you really see Morgana having an active power. Before her powers have been sort of confined to seeing the future in dreams and now it’s sort of moved out from inside hear head to outside and she starts still not being able to control them so it’s quite a violent manifestation of her powers as opposed to Merlin’s which are sort of calm and very controllable.
Colin Morgan: He knows Morgana has magic. He knows that she doesn’t know about him and Merlin desperately, desperately would love to confide in her and Merlin feels that she needs guidance, she needs a hand because Merlin very much views Morgana as being a friend, as being close he wants to look after, he wants to, he wants to make sure she’s going to be okay.
Katie Mcgrath: Merlin slyly sort of tells her that the way to go is “go seek out the druids, they help people who are magical,” so she does.

Torchwood S2 Ep3 - To the Last Man
I think this is the first time we met other Torchwood agent, apart from the current day gang
*quietly takes notes on the process reviving someone from the alien cryogenics*
Tommy is sweet
“And bloody cheer up, will you?” Look Ianto is what 25? And it’s common knowledge that Torchwood staff don’t often live to 30. So give him some slack Gwen, he’s probably releasing that he hasn’t got much time left
This scene between Jack and Ianto is gooood!
And Jack is almost definitely talking about the Peninsula when he refers to home
The moment Owen suggests someone to got through to help Tommy Jack is like “Hell Yeah! Give me the drugs Owen”
Also, this could connect to Jack’s mind powers from Greeks Bearing Gifts
Now out of all of Tosh’s relationships, this one, with Tommy, is the best. For once she fell in love with someone who genuine a good person. It’s just a shame that Torchwood had to end the relationship.
Also the Tosh/Owen... yeah, an...
I could see them dating for a while, but ending up realising that they are better off as friends. Ending up as wingmen for each other.
