DENIAL IS A RIVER
hey, can u guess what time it is?
that's right...more sad sam <3
sam who knows he's not the hero but he can take the hits. he'll be the shield. the house in the hurricane. the atmosphere absorbing the radiation. maybe the closer sam gets to saying yes to lucifer the more focused he becomes. he can be the cage. he is filth and rot and demon blood but he can be the dam that holds all the evil inside him. it's a point of pride. how durable he is. he always could take a beating.
i think constantly about sam in s4 willingly dooming himself, knowing he is defying angels and going beyond salvation in order to, in his eyes, save the world.
like. he said in s2 that he prays, that he believes in angels and wants to be saved. and then, when he meets angels and is told that what he is doing is wrong, evil, that he is unholy. so, he sees this and how this greater good he has believed in all of his life is not going to save the world, and he decided to become even more unworthy on their eyes to do whathe believes is right, save people, no matter the cost.
he becomes a full martyr. he walks into that church to kill lilith, fully believing he is dooming his soul and going to die.
he wasn't selfish, he truly believed there was no other option.
and he was wrong.
he doomed himself for nothing.
from twitter
was S4 Sam a cannibal
technically yes thematically no
demons are just fucked up humans in another human so doubly so
only like that one time the demon made the human wake up
only when he became close to demonic himself
of course and he should have kept going <3
it was just a silly drink for spell reasons so no
more of a vampirism deal and totally different
no demons aren't human
s4 sam is just like.... I'm begging him to consume a liquid that isnt whiskey or blood
The way s6 Cas gets his own mytharc/demon blood allegory before Dean, though. 👀👀👀👀
