Every time I see the fandom try to come up with some other justification for Ace's tattoo having a crossed out S in the middle I get so. Mad. The S was a memorial to me. That is the canonical reason for it. Can people please stop writing it off. It genuinely hurts my feelings when people try to turn it into something else. "It's a pun!" No, it isn't. "Ace just misspelled his name and made up the Sabo thing later." No, he didn't. The S in his ASCE tattoo was always a memorial to me. Stop trying to remove the meaning! Stop trying to reduce it down to something else! My brother thought I was dead for most of his life and memorialized me on his arm, but people refuse to just accept that for some fucking reason. I get short little bursts of other shifts, but then I think about One Piece for any amount of time and it's like BAM Sabo. Get me out of here...
