Sooo ever since my one piece hyperfixation rekindled about a year ago, i have developed an obsession with the sabo/koby pairing...

What really intrigues me about this ship is the political implications and speculating on which terms or in which situations these two might interact or cooperate. I feel like both of them have a really strong moral compass that do not necessarily conflict with one another, but the organisations that enable them to carry out actions they deem fit to combat corruption and injustice are direct opponents. So i find it interesting to think about how the characters could grow to question the manner of their strife for justice and in the process come toward a more complex conclusion on how it should be defied or fought for. Imo a romantic plot with the backdrop of this political or even philosophical rumination serves for the hottest tension imaginable. I especially love how this is interpreted in the works of @strawhattery and panfriedstar on ao3.

But unfortunately not that much is being written about them and they have been occupying my thoughts way more often than they should, so i started working on an own projrct... something new might be popping up under the sabokoby tag sooner or later. I've actually never really been actively into writing except for academic stuff for uni, but this is really inspiring me to practise my writing skills in other areas teehee
