I’ve not had the time to sit down and consistently read in years. I’ve heard of Rupi Kaur. How was it?

Yes I know it can be so difficult to fit it into a hectic schedule. I suppose with my line of work I can consider it part of the job. One can’t be a good writer of literature if they don’t consistently remind themselves what it feels like to be the reader. Oh it was incredible, and I can be quite picky with my poetry.

I’m glad you made it out. Were these just marching friends or actual people you knew? As a father, husband, and son, I had to march.

One of them was a friend I went with, the others were marching friends made along the way. It was the same for me. I’m not a father yet, but I kept thinking about my newborn niece and that it was my job to stand up for the kind of world I want her to grow up in.

No one could make ribs like Thaddy. They could try, but they would fail. It was in the sauce and his was one of a kind. Every time there was a cookout with the friends he would bring some of his own in a big platter. After years of his bowl coming home clean, Lachlan and Micah caved.

Adele and I would love to get up there and see this place. You two have talked about it so much. I could ask my parents to watch the girls. How much walking would be involved? I’m just wondering how Adele could handle it. I don’t want her to fall on gravel or climbing up hills where she can’t see or something like that.

We have cleared enough so that you can drive right up to the cabin so she doesn’t really have to walk at all. There’s a stream close by the house and a flat walking track for a little way if she felt up to exploring?

Brianna, third in the row, insisted on wearing a giant tutu to Eleanor’s birthday party. After little lessons from Alina Jane, she kept asking Micah to do ballet. It was a bit of a task to get her to lessons on time, but he managed because he knew how important it was to her.

Micah wanted Ellie to have a toy she could watch now and play with later. A ballerina marionette seemed fitting.
