Aww, thank you! Tales from the House of Mau is one of my silly-just-for-the-fun-of-it series (so it of course developed plot, sigh). Please enjoy this alternate take on Jason and Tim's meeting with Janet:

"Mom," Tim asks, drawing out the word even longer than necessary for his current form, "where's Dad?"

"Ugh," the serpent says, flipping their tail and rolling their eyes. "Don't even talk to me about your father. He decided he was tired—tired! After a mere eight centuries! He wanted excitement. Romance."

"So… does this mean you guys finally got the divorce you've been dragging your feet over for the last century?"

"Don't be silly, Timothy—marriage is for silly fly-by-night mortals."

"Sorry. The 'formal declaration of separation and division of hoards,'" Tim says, rolling his eyes.

"He left me for a human!" the serpent sobs, pressing their huge head against the whale's bulk. "Some silly little sorceress who wears spandex and can't be more than ten, fifteen years older than you."

"Wow, Mom. That's… pretty unexpected." Very unexpected from what everyone's told Jason about Tim's parents and their views on inter-species relationships. This new development no doubt means that Tim's mom is even less likely to approve of their son's choice in mate.

"Why couldn't you settle down with a nice dragon, darling? I really thought you and the Luthor child had a chance of making a go of it."

For the ask meme, if you don’t mind, a and b?

A: Of the fanfic you’ve written, which is your favorite and why? Hm this is difficult because a lot of my fanfics satisfy different things I wanted. I shall cheat and pick two.

A Herald Named Desire means a lot to me, for many reasons. It is my most popular one, but it's also the one that has apparently swayed some minds on the demon rights agenda. Writing a long WIP forced me to keep updating and keep writing and thus in so doing become a better writer and not let my social anxiety stop me from writing, like it did in my previous fandom.

Liar is a roleswap fic where kossith!Dorian grows up under the Qun and decides 'you know I actually won't tell the authority figures about the dancing lights I can make, thanks, I'm keeping this one a secret'. Normally my fics are more light-hearted and fun, and I like that! I enjoy writing more humorous things, but Liar was my first real fic that could be considered at least dark-adjacent, and so it holds a special place in my heart.

B:  What was the first fandom you read fic in?  Which was the first you wrote fic for? First fandom I read fanfic in was the Chrono Trigger fandom back, hm, I want to say seventeen years ago. It was my very first video game, and take a shot, it's got a race of mystics/demons who aren't necessarily bad.

While I wrote a couple of things for Chrono Trigger, I never put them anywhere. The first fandom I posted actual fanfic for was Tales of Symphonia, though I only posted, like, two tiny fics, and then I quickly bowed out. Dragon Age has been my first fandom I've truly written for.
