Event: KakaZabu Week 2020

Submit any time between these dates! Late submissions are also fine. Usually there are more rules than that but times are tough! The actual “Week” is the last week of June, but I’ve padded that with the weeks before and after to give us some wiggle room.

This Event is the third year running we’ve done KakaZabu week, celebrating the rarepair Hatake Kakashi/Momochi Zabuza. Fills will need to focus on this pairing.

To be brief, Uzushi0 is an Event Blog where submissions, whether art or fics, get a Badge on their Bingo Book entry. Eight badges of a certain rank mean promotion to genin, chunin, etc. Ranks are determined by difficulty of the “mission” or fill. It’s a lot of fun! Each badge is a different color. But it’s also fun to play just once and get a shiny badge!

Please note: the high ranking missions presume that you must complete the requirements below it. I.e. you cannot have a C-rank without D-rank’s clean colors, you cannot have a fully colored comic (A-Rank) without the B-Rank’s detailed background. It’s meant to be a ladder of difficulty in the same way that a 10k fic cannot be written without first writing 5k.

Art fills are the hardest to ‘measure’ so to speak, so bear that in mind.

Future Events

This blog is going on temporary hiatus until a) Tim has enough spoons and time to run it and b) there’s enough interest in an Event. Interest has waned enough that I’m not comfortable starting new Events for a little while.

Unless someone has an idea and multiple people commit to playing it, the next Event will be KakaZabu 2020, next June. Have a good year, everyone!

Event Post: Ghost Ships

For Halloween, we’re doing a “Ship” themed event. The rules are simple. Submit a ship you want to see written before October 24th*. On October 24th, you will receive a ship someone else has asked for! This means you can only submit a ship if you’re prepared to accept one. There’s no length requirement, though of course the mission ranks are over on the Mission Ranking page, and art fills are fine, too.

You will be tasked to write/draw something centered around that ship that is in some way connected to the Halloween/spooky theme. This is a broad category so try to have fun with it!

The Event will (tentatively) end November 30th*, but you can submit your fills at any time! Early reveals are fine. That means you have until November 30th to write or draw your ‘ghost’ ship!

The theme is Ghost Ships, aka very anonymous and spooky, like ghost ships passing in the night.

*The above deadlines are different to the original, extended by popular demand.

I was inspired by Sloaners and Kat to add a “Ghost Ship Event” channel on my discord server. It’s not it’s own separate server, merely a room in my larger server, but you’re welcome to come over there for any questions or chatter about Ghost Ships or even Hand Me Downs/All That Remains.

I’m not particularly picky! Currently there’s still not enough submissions of ships to actually run the Ghost Ship Event properly (just two of us, so it’s just us writing for each other!) and I’m actively trying to encourage participation. No pressure, of course, it’s just meant to be fun and casual.
