Okay time for what I think will be sad shit
what if little ghoul was to die how would everyone react
This was an evil ask that I've had no idea how to write. I'm pretty sure you've submitted this three times, but I've just been staring at them in my inbox wondering how to do it and get the energy to even think about writing after work. But here you go.
Edit: totally forgot to indicate this was Papa's POV. Oops.
There was nothing left, just ash, rubble, and the blood-soaked ground. He knew this would happen, not the catalyst (no, never that, not that limp little figure), but the end result. The abbey destroyed, with himself and the pack the only survivors. It was a close call though, he'd taken a good hit and blood was running down his face and into his robes. It was technically a victory he supposed, but it didn't feel like one. Especially without her.
He watched the pack as they held vigil over the tiny body, untouched by the disaster, but still too limp and bloodied. This was all his fault. He should have put his foot down, he should have fought harder. But he'd never had an opponent like the Sister.
He had to look away, he couldn't look at the ghouls weeping or listen to Mountain's heaving sobs and howls. He was barely holding himself together. He'd brought the cub to her death by summoning her. He loved her, but he couldn't help but regret everything.
