Maho Aku Episode 10 Review - A Day With The Cat Familiar And Evil Organization

Did anyone ask for an episode revolving around Byakuya’s daily life with the sleaze ball Cat Familiar? I sure didn’t. I don’t care if he turned into his hot human form towards the end of the episode, he’s still a scumbag. The fact that they’re supposed to have a father-daughter/family-like relationship yet the Cat Familiar sexually harasses her constantly really makes me question the Cat Familiar at times. I’m just surprised he’s supposed to be an angel. Gosh, I hate the fact that Byakuya doesn’t do anything about him because of her personality and the fact that she’s sort of stuck with him.

Mira’s side of the episode was pretty lively as we get to see the seven generals hold a meeting and show off their personalities. The two people that didn’t get a lot of screen time, Sadalsuud and Betelgeuse show off their personalities here. Sadalsuud is a bit of an anxious guy and Betelgeuse is super flighty and air headed with his suggestion of wanting to do Slippery Sumo. Even other characters that we do see often get more screen time. Fomalhaut still has his round object obsession and Bellatrix has her freaky side. Apparently, the organization is holding a party for the Evil King. Does that mean we’ll get to see him? I hope we do!

While it is a bit upsetting that there are no Byakuya and Mira moments, it’s still nice to see another side of them when they’re not together. It’s also unfortunate to not see the Bird Familiar and Hibana. All in all, the Cat Familiar needs to die. What are your thoughts about this episode?
