Brunch today at the less than a year-old Sadelle’s from the @majorfoodgroup We just got back from New York but didn’t get a chance to go to the original Sadelle’s there. Sadelle’s at the @bellagio is a beautiful bright pastel colored room right beside the winter garden and overlooking the pool which makes it an ideal place for daytime dining. Of course I had their famous smoked salmon and bagel breakfast - the paper thin smoked salmon wasn’t overly salty and perfect layered over the toasted cream-cheese-slathered-sesame-seed bagel. A had a fluffy egg white omelet with vegetables which also came with a bagel and a crisp potato latke. J was ready for lunch so he had the tuna tartar drizzled with sour cream and chives and delicious spread onto the accompanying bagel chips or eaten with a lettuce leaf cup. He also had a perfectly medium-rare char-grilled rib eye which came with caramelized onions. C had a starter of pigs in a blanket with a side of hot crisp fries. For dessert, we shared three: a plate of cookies (black and white and chocolate chip pecan), the enormous coconut cream pie and the morning bun ice cream sandwich. The morning bun was the best - almost like a kouign amman split in half and filled with vanilla ice cream.
