I actually used to be pretty cocky when it came to art but now it just fluctuates a lot depending on my recent art. mostly due to me realizing how shit my art used to be
I read your ask about why there's so much not-so-quality art. I try not to submit my worst work, but even my best isn't great. Submitting my art to your blog and seeing even just a few people take a little joy from my art keeps me going sometimes, but I always wonder whether you're actually kind of annoyed that I submit it. Are you okay with us submitting this stuff, or would you rather we stop?
i dont care what quality art i reblog, as long as my queue has enough for at least a day at a time. i dont see artwork from less experienced artists as annoying or less deserving of being reblogged. the only thing i dislike is when the art is on lined paper, but as someone who drew almost exclusively on lined paper when i was a new artist, it’s passable.

RE RECAPTURING FOLLOWERS: Maybe you could do a kickstarterey sort of thing, where for every 1000 followers you regain, you make an awesome edit (even cooler than the ones you usually make). And if you reach the number of followers you had before the deletecalypse, you make an ESPECIALLY awesome edit. I feel like our hunger for your edits is great enough that this would be quite effective. Actually, you don't even have to use edits. It can basically just be anything special at all.
