Hey Dahni, I'm a Page of Heart and I was just curious as to what powers I would have? I know Pages are virtually useless at the beginning, but I was just wondering the arch of me starting to discover myself.
thats an interesting one, because I’ve always thought of Pages power being like slowly unlocking the whole of their aspects from within themselves. and Page of Heart’s makes that sound strange, you unlock the entirety of the aspect Heart from within yourself. Do you become this giant schizophrenic container of a copy of every soul in existence or something? Dave’s Brain in a Jar times a billion. Every version of every person’s soul exists within you. That sounds pretty terrifying tbh Your own soul could become lost inside the Legion. Tens of Thousands of Billions of things and animals and people fighting for dominance within one body. *shudders* sounds like something from a horror movie.
Not only would you be on a path of self discovery, youd be on a path of everyone discovery, or maybe just the discovery of all the different versions of just you specifically, a gathering of all the different versions of you in one place, everything you could be all at once
Well that make it sound pretty bad, thatd be a Page of Heart who had no control over their powers, like if someone Aranea’d them probably. Or a Thief of Mind that badly inverted.
Happy Healthy Page of Heart probably has their own Soul in control, but with access to countless Souls within them and whatever knowledge they give him or perspectives etc.
Actually wait I’m starting to have a thought about Pages.
the Page of Hope Jake’s thing is this giant Ball of Holy Light basically, like a reverse Black Hole, it unlocked from within him yes, but then he literally becomes this big huge blob of pure Hope. Then There’s byb’s theory that Vriska will supercharge herself via that Auryn to steal the Green Sun’s Light and then also becoming a Black hole, which funnily enough, if that supercharger supercharges both the Thief of Light part and the Page of Void part gives a little hint that a Page of Void’s maximum power would be literally becoming a Black Hole.
Then I said Page of Life would be probably be like a werewolf/superbodied transformation, Naruto the Page of Blood’s max power is like embodying the flesh of the Fox inside him, Aang’s Avatar state represents the power to escape from any situation, enough to get you or keep you alive in desperation until your out of harms way, and they glow that bluey Breathy Air color though thats probably coincidence.
Page’s whole shtick is starting to sound a lot like embodying an aspect in its entirety. Which would make sense with their being one of the most powerful classes but they have a long journey getting there. Embodying an Entire Aspect is both OP and would take a damn long time to Embody ALL of it versus just some of it.
This also makes me think of the time I described a Knight’s thing as being basically, the power is inside you, just gotta pick it up and use it, it comes to you naturally, even though you fear it doesnt or you gotta work at it harder. Whereas a Page would be, yeah the powers inside you, and I know you think you know what ur doing and got it all figured out, but uh, you got some work to do there buddy. Talent VS Hard Work, but the power comes from inside you for both basically.
I always figured Knight/Page’s verb as Exploit or Use was a bit too vague. Maybe Knight/Page have Embody vs Thief/Rogues Steal.
You Are the Thing versus You Take the Thing.
Or maybe its more like Stealers bring outside things towards/insides themselves, sort of absorbing it and Exploiters/Embodiers? dig it out from inside themselves and bring it out to dish it out to others.
its all very vague, but i think im starting to see a more clearer version of the fuzzy big picture. All the colors are there, but some lines are still foggy to me.
bluh sorry for random word thoughts. This isn’t really all that coherent right now. Im gonna post it anyway cuz i did technically answer your question, plus i also wanna see some others people’s thoughts on this?
