Posteriormente sería calificado como el disco que redefinió el heavy metal y como uno de los más influyentes del género desde el álbum debut de Black Sabbath. El 23 de marzo de 1979. Se publica el álbum llamado "Van Halen II". Es el segundo disco del grupo estadounidense de Hard Rock Van Halen. Fue grabado en sólo seis días. El 23 de marzo de 1983. Se publica el álbum llamado ''Eliminator''. Es el octavo disco de estudio de la banda estadounidense de hard rock ZZ Top. Es el álbum más exitoso de la banda al haber alcanzado la categoría de disco de diamante.
