This is one of the signs outside of one of the private restrooms at my college. This might not seem like much to a lot of people, but this, to me, is a huge step forward. I legitimately shed happy tears seeing this today.

Gender-Neutral Bathroom Survey Update
My kid is still compiling the data and finishing up their paper, but as a result of the draft turned in, they have a meeting today with school officials to try to get things changed so bathrooms are safer and more accessible for non-gender-conforming students in their own school.
So if you can send positive thoughts their way? That would be awesome. We ended up with over 2400 responses... we’d hoped to get 50. So thank you all!

Businesses in North Carolina who have stated publicly that their bathrooms are safe for trans and gender non-conforming folks under HB2. Please email [email protected] if you would like to be added to the list, and please include some kind of documentation showing your supportive stance as an ally. This could be a link to a public social media post where you've shown support, your mission statement, anti-discrimination policy, photo of gender neutral bathroom signs in your space, etc. Also, not all businesses on this map have permanent brick-and-mortar locations (some are pop-up shops) but have identified themselves as a safe establishment.
