Raise Your Expectations - a Thomas Sanders & Friends fanvid

A fanvid inspired by Thomas's recent TikTok. I felt the urge to complete the song, and I'm pretty proud of the result. Song is "Lower Your Expectations" by B...

I just stayed up all night and spent the last nine hours solid making this. I got the idea from Thomas’s latest TikTok video, and I couldn’t resist the urge to complete the music video.

Deceit Plotbunny up for Adoption...

Woke up with a Deceit Human-AU headcanon - prob won’t get around to writing it myself, so this plotbunny’s up for adoption - if you write it, please tag me? I’d love to read it!

Idea: Human-AU. Deceit runs a small underground-but-popular kid’s show on YouTube, teaching kids all about Lies:

The Different Kinds of Lies (White Lies, Lies of Omission, Broken Promises, The Lie of Fabrication, The Bold-Faced Lie, Lying in Exaggeration, Lies of Deception, Plagiarism, Compulsive Lying, etc...)

How to Lie Properly (eye contact, no fidgeting, keeping details vague and rememberable)

How to Detect Lies in Others (similar warning signs)

When to Lie (white lies, complimenting ppl’s outfits, protecting people from those out to hurt them, etc.)

When NOT to Lie (shifting blame, avoiding responsibility, covering for abuse, gaslighting)

The kids pass around his youtube videos like crack, and it helps make him unique that Deceit also has a bunch of non-traditionally-cuddly animals on his show, like snakes and lizards and other reptiles.

Of course, things go sideways when some overbearing parent finds out and suddenly ALL THE PTAS START SPREADING THE WORD ABOUT THIS EVIL YOUTUBER WHO IS TELLING THEIR KIDS TO LIE.

And then [insert whoever you like to pair Deceit with] helps Deceit weather the sudden infamy and flood of hatemail - Maybe [side] has a rival YouTube channel and offers his support? Or maybe he has kids and is on the PTA himself, and already greenlit Dee’s videos for his kids long ago, so when he hears about the attacks, he reaches out to Dee to help? 

Please, somebody, take this plotbunny and write if for me?

Deepest, Darkest Fears...

I was rewatching “My True Identity!", as one does, and marveling at how Thomas and Joan use bits of earlier episodes to pull into later episodes. I wanted to bring back the bit about Fears:

Patton: Spiders. This has been brought back several times, from Patton’s fear of the spider-print curtains in Virgil’s room, to his fear of the spider logo on Thomas’s Spider-Man Halloween costume.

Roman: Rejection. Roman seems to be in the middle of a self-esteem arc with several episodes touching on the stress that he’s under to create new content, and his fear of rejection gains new validation with the reveal of Remus - we now know that part of “Creativity” was “rejected” for not being “good”, so Roman is under that much more strain to be perfect lest he be broken/rejected again.

Logan: “What exactly is at the bottom of the ocean?” While this could just be a throwaway line, it’s more fun to believe that Thomas and Joan are going to maybe eventually bring this fear back into play. This is especially interesting with Remus’s appearance, since Remus has octopus/kraken iconography.

Will Remus turn out to embody or be related to Logan’s greatest fear?

Tiny detail that nobody is talking about...

The Duke sang:

“Adam and Eve bought knowledge for the small price of a little sin. They also lost eternal life, but what's fruit without the pits?”

Later, he sang, “recently a snake offered me a morsel from the tree of knowledge”.

What... what did Remus “lose” for this information?

Did Deceit extract a price???

Remus + Tentacles

THIS IS A SAFE POST FOR ALL FANDERS. NO TALK OF SHIPPING ANYTHING ON THIS POST OR COMMENTS, PLEASE.

Fandom, I am loving all of the Remus fanart, but I’m also disappointed. Where is all the tentacle art? I can’t find any yet, so I guess I’ll try to start the trend. I’m commissioning art from better artists than myself, but for now, be the change you wanna see in the world, and all that jazz... I call these:

The “Ursula”, with the bottom half of a squid/octopus.

The “Doc Oct”, or as @xxxamerican-psychoxxx put it, the “Slenderman”, with organic or mechanical tentacles coming from the back/spine.

The “Cecil” from Welcome to Night Vale, where he has tattoo of tentacles across his body that may or may not come to life. Maybe that’s why he has long sleeves???

I can’t draw faces, hands, anything really. I hope this inspires artists better than me to draw more tentacles. If you draw Remus fanart or write fic with tentacles, please tag me!!! No matter the pairing, I love it all!!!
