honestly the marquez bros' relationship blows my mind. like, how close they are, how entirely devoted they are to one another, and how jealous/envy never seemed like it was ever a serious risk despite them competing so closely, alex always half a step behind marc, alex always consigned to being second best because of marc yet - there doesn't seem to be any resentment? like, we had alex telling marc to quit honda and join gresini because he wants to see his big brother be at the top again. mindblowing. alex would've been world champion if he hadn't done that. i think about that a lot and i think alex thoguht about it too in motegi last year when he didn't celebrate with marc- but he would've always picked marc over winning, over the ultimate dream and i hoenstly think that's beautiful.
especially since i've seen siblings ripped apart and become estranged for lesser things
