Indulge in a unique burger experience with our Ricotta & Polenta Chip Burger. Creamy ricotta mixed with crispy sage-infused polenta chips, all packed in a burger bun with your favorite toppings. It's a delicious twist on the classic burger!
Ingredients: 1 cup ricotta cheese. 1 cup instant polenta. 2 cups water. 2 tablespoons fresh sage leaves, chopped. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour. Vegetable oil for frying. 4 burger buns. Lettuce leaves. Tomato slices. Red onion slices. 4 beef or veggie burger patties. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan. Slowly whisk in the instant polenta. Lower the heat and cook, stirring all the time, for three to four minutes, until the mixture thickens. Take the polenta off the heat and mix in the ricotta cheese until everything is well mixed. Add pepper and salt to taste. Let it cool down a bit. Put the polenta mixture on a baking sheet or dish that has been lined with parchment paper. Make it smooth so that the layer is 1 inch thick. Put it in the fridge for at least an hour, or until it sets. Set the polenta aside while you heat the oil in a large skillet or deep fryer over medium-high heat. Cut the cold polenta into small pieces about the size of chips. To make sage salt, put some chopped fresh sage leaves and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Coat the polenta chips in all-purpose flour and then shake off the extra. Fry the polenta chips one at a time until they are crispy and golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to take them out and let them drain on paper towels. Sprinkle them with the sage salt mix while they are still hot. Grill the burger patties until they're done the way you like them. You can use a grill or a toaster to toast the burger buns. Start by putting lettuce leaves on the bottom half of each bun. Then add a burger patty, tomato slices, and red onion slices. Put a lot of ricotta and sage polenta chips on top, and then put the top bun on top of that. Good luck with your Ricotta & Polenta Chip Burger with Sage Salt! Serve it hot and enjoy it!
