💻- Judy Alvarez

Ahhh Judy, my/our first love.... Val flirted shamelessly with Judy from the beginning, which for Val meant making awkward small talk while trying to figure out her odds of success at asking Judy out. Of course, Val helped her with Evelyn, and at Clouds, and slept with her... And if things hadn't been so dire with the Relic, she probably would have continued to see Judy, and probably tried to get her into therapy, too. (C'mon, I love my little wife but even Val, who wears a garland of red flags herself, can see just how fucked up she is.)

Because of Judy's recent experience with Evelyn, V chose not to call her that night on the roof when she called Panam for help. V didn't want Judy to carry the emotional burden should things go wrong getting to Mikoshi, even though her decision was largely based on cowardice -- she lacked the courage to make the call and have the conversation with Judy. Things became (understandably) strained between them after V did survive Mikoshi and left town with the Aldecaldos, but V's departure pushed Judy to leave NC at last.

Things eventually smooth over between them -- after V sends a lot of apologies and cat memes and silly vids -- and she is one of V's friends who knows the truth about Val's health and the biochip.
