No autism-related problems for me getting hormones!!! (my parents are still getting used to the idea of me transitioning) still not on them yet but will be very soon

all my hormone problems have been unrelated to the autisim diagnosis, but my endocrinologist wanted the diagnosis before we moved forward with hormones (mostly because my readiness evaluation was done by an autism specialist) i live in washington state btw and state laws might change things

Is there anybody who's a mod or just anyone who would be willing to like talk to me about the process of getting an official diagnosis as an adult? I'm in college and can pass as neurotypical so I'm worried people won't help me but I need accommodations for college so bad mainly I need my own room bc I'm so stressed with a roommate. I'm just wondering like what it involves and price or whatnot idk. Thanks so much!
Hi! I’m so sorry, but I’m not personally able to help with this since I haven’t gone through that process. I’m going to post this for our followers to see, and hopefully someone can give you some advice.

Hey I'm also a college student and just got diagnosed. I asked my psychiatrist, and she just went through a list of symptoms with me and my dad. It didn't cost more than a regular visit. If you don't already have a psychiatrist (or a nice one like mine), it becomes much more complicated. Regular therapists can't diagnose unfortunately. A therapist might be able to show you in the right direction though. My therapist at college told me about places I could go near campus.
just as a quick fyi if ur looking for some quality blogs to follow hit up @saintsofchicago bc cayden is a literal gem and i love his blog so much
Hi sorry if this has been answered or if it's in FAQ (the faq was really confusing for me I'm sorry) but my mom works with adults with intellectual disabilities and some people she's worked with in the past have had bpd. The book Walking On Eggshells was recommended but I know that's not a good one to read. She wants me to find her some. Are there any books you can recommend for to help her understand bpd? Thank you!!!
here you go!
