An urban fantasy series about a supernaturally-saturated neighborhood, the people who live there, more than mild peril, and adulting.
Saints’Quarter is an urban fantasy/horror-drama comic series that focuses on an odd little neighborhood between Brooklyn and Queens, NY, and the people both magical, non, or Otherwise, who live there. When two new residents move into the 'Quarter with the help of their witchy cousins, they find themselves in the middle of more and more strange and unusual happenings, even by the standards of their new home.
The comic originally had a brief premier in 2013 under the name Beyond the Veil but was shelved for a while for rewrites and development until finally re-launching in its current form on October 1st, 2016.
The first two episodes are free to read online and Episode Three is currently in development to begin posting sometime in Spring!
I've wanted to see Saints'Quarter in print since I started work on it four years ago and I've finally reached a point where I can happily say that it's time to get started! This campaign would pay for the printing and shipping of Episode One!
The first book will be a 100 page standard trade-size (give or take 6.625" x 10.25") softcover volume. It will include the episode proper in full color, NEW and extended scenes, and never before seen bonus materials! We're talking concept sketches, a new entry into the S.Q. bestiary, never before seen lore pages!
Not to mention that I've been hard at work revitalizing the original artwork of earlier pages! Long-time readers would know that there was a slight style change in the middle of Episode One when it was posting. I was still figuring out just what I wanted the series to be and how I wanted it to look. The book, however, will follow a consistent style from start to end!
The Prologue is bright, shiny, and new!
Speech balloons are more organic! Character art is cleaner and more finished!
And there is MUCH better focus on... well, the important things!
