Alright, buckle in, I'm doing it anyway.

Danganronpa ships in a Just Go With It AU. That's right, the Adam Sandler movie.

This one could work for many ships, but I'm mainly proposing it for ships I immediately think could be especially interesting in this context. In the actual movie, it's pretty much a straightforward fake-dating-trope ordeal where he ends up with the person he's fake-dating instead of the person he's trying to impress, but of course I'm thinking of this as a throuple thing.

Options:

Nagito is the current sole guardian of the Warriors of Hope. One day, Hajime (who has a crush on Makoto) is babysitting for Nagito, and he runs into Makoto. Makoto is charmed by Hajime taking care of children and mistakenly thinks they're his. Hajime perpetuates the lie, pretending that he and Nagito are divorced lovers who are both raising the children. Hijinks ensue, and eventually all three fall in love.

Angie is the current sole guardian of the Warriors of Hope. One day, Kokichi (who has a crush on Shuichi) is babysitting for Angie, and he runs into Shuichi. Shuichi is charmed by Kokichi taking care of children and mistakenly thinks they're his. Kokichi perpetuates the lie, pretending that he and Angie are divorced lovers who are both raising the children. Hijinks ensue, and eventually all three fall in love.

Same as above, but swap Kokichi and Shuichi.

The fact that Akane has younger siblings who could occupy the child role here isn't lost on me, but those kids aren't really characters, which means it would take us into OC territory. Could still be cool, but less immediately compelling to someone who wants canon characters. Same deal for pretty much all the established characters' younger siblings, except Yuta, who is already someone (and also a bit too old to work as a kid for this).

Honestly, any trio can be Just Go With It'ed. This dynamic just lends itself so well to polyshipping, and the Warriors of Hope would thrive in this kind of tomfoolery.
