Pretty pumped on the bike set up . After finishing it around midnight Saturday , no time to test ride just load up we gotta hit the road !!!! To unloading to hitting the track for practice Sunday morning at the @the1moto @superhooligans race in Salem , Oregon With absolutely no seat time . I made a few adjustments and definitely have to make riser adjustments. Coming off the 1965 xlch to a modern bike , definitely different feeling . But I definitely got faster and more comfortable as the day went on . Next stop ... Milwaukee , Wi for the @flatoutfriday and @mamatriedshow . See how she does on the Syrup track . this Bultaco was acquired from Gary Swan of Toad Town Racing back in 2012. While waiting for first call as I put my gloves on watching the rain come down at Grattan Raceway Gary says to me, if you really want to flat track, I have the perfect tracker for you, a little Sherpa S 250, we can take it to Ventura and you can try it out, and that's what we did. road racing has been all consuming so I haven't raced it as much as I would have liked, but I'm hoping things will be different this year. While at Salem I met Henry Nelson who was excited to see one being raced and we discussed the geometry of the bike and how it was designed to be perfectly suited to slide around the turns, with enough throttle that is. He also told me it was a 175 not a 250, but no matter, he said, these bikes haul the mail! The See See Crew and friends walked away from the Salem Speedway on Saturday night with two first place trophies, a couple second places and a third! Thanks to everyone who came out and raced or watched! Support your local tracks!
