1. Kalsubai is the highest Peak of western ghats, Maharashtra
Kalsubai peak has the height of 1646 meters ( 5400 feets) located in northern Sahyadri mountain range. It is popularly called as ‘Everest of the Maharashtra’.
2. Salher Fort in Nasik,Maharashtra
Harishchandra Gad is a hill fort in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra, is one of the most challenging treks in the Western Ghats. This hill fort can be approached from multiple routes. One such route via Nalichi Vaat ( ‘passage through a gorge’) is a channel that lies to the extreme right of the mountain. It is the most difficult path to the top. Popular among climbers and experienced trekkers, Nalichi Vaat involves a near 80 degree climb, involving steep rock patches.
The Raigad Fort was built by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and made it his capital in 1674 when he was crowned as the King of a Maratha Kingdom.
Dhodap is the second highest fort in Maharashtra after Salher. Dhodap trek is quite challenging in some places.
