Quebrada del Escoipe, Salta, Argentina: A 40-minute drive from the town of Salta, this mountain road now takes into the heart of the majestic Andes. A windy road along the river, then a breathtaking climb up the mountainsides, to Piedra del Molino, culminating at about 3,700 meters. It extends from Chicoana to the foot of the Cuesta del Obispo. Next, we'll travel to Cachi, a beautiful, almost untouched colonial town in the middle of the Calchaqu quebrada. Lots of good hotels and great places to eat. Not to be missed... The Cuesta del Obispo corresponds to a zigzagging and steep section of Provincial Route 33. Wikipedia
