i know we’ve all been joking relentlessly at the expense of d*stiel shippers and i’m sure they are all joking right back or w/e and that this post is a joke hence why i didnt actually interact w/ it in any way bc im not an animal and i know how the new post function works but seriously posts like this are why i had to fucking check the fuck out of the spn fandom.... it wasnt bc it got “bad” or whatever

it was literally because i got sick and fucking tired of one of (if not THE most important) character of the goddamn show getting sidelined over and over and OVER again for a poorly written, fan-service ship

like when spn started it was about sam lmfao, and by extension it was about dean. sam was *the* main character and he was viewed through dean’s eyes, that was the point. like yes the thesis of the show is ultimately about sam and dean and their relationship, but SAM WAS THE MAIN CHARACTER. that’s why in s4 you’re supposed to be so anguished and frustrated and angry watching sam make mistakes he doesn’t realize he’s making — because that’s how dean feels and dean is an extension of the viewer, so the viewer sees sam through dean’s eyes but it’s sam’s story. all the way through kripke’s tenure that stayed pretty narratively consistent, and im not one of those ‘everything after 5 sucks’ people, because there have been VERY ENJOYABLE SEASONS AFTER 5 but like... i’m never not going to be frustrated that the show was bullied into shifting its focus to the point where sam has spent THE FINAL SEASON DOING NOTHINGGGGGG OF SUBSTANCE IT GETS ON MY GODDAMN NERVES

like interact w/ media however you like but i will never get over how insufferably stupid it is to tell people to skip seasons 1-3, or skip episodes where a certain character doesn’t show up, or throw literal fits and threaten people until your ship went canon and like... yeah i guess it worked lmfao so... we’re just gonna keep living in this reality where people annoy creators into giving them what they want instead of just leaving if theyre unsatisfied

i won’t forget the constant harassment and making shit up about jared and trying to get him fired off is own show because you were mad that he was??? what??? a lead???? and yall got your favourite guest star turned into a main role and that wasnt enough you still insist on erasing sam winchester’s narrative arc, his importance to the show, to dean AND to cas. he’s not just your dumb ship cheerleader holy fuck, he literally was the main character of the show and even if the narrative lens shifted after kripke wrapped up, completely stripping his importance is so fundamentally frustrating to watch

it’s fucking ugly as hell and sam winchester deserved better

Sansa is 100% correct in her annoyance of jon bending the knee because they had JUST gotten back their northern independence (although her irritation is really displaced so she needs to chill tf out), But also Dany is 100% correct in her annoyance of the northern disdain because she basically brought them 10k plus soldiers and 2 fucking dragons and doesnt deserve the treatment she’s getting especially when she didnt FORCE jon to bend the knee,he did it at his own free will (although she also needs to understand that it will take the northmen a while to come around so she needs to chill tf out),But also jon is 100% correct in trying to keep the focus on the war coming (although the goal here is to survive and it doesnt hurt to mull over the logistics of things If they so happen to survive,so he needs to chill tf out)

there is nothing like chasing after him in the rain like SEBASTIAN PLEASE I have an egg for u... and also it’s weird marrying a LOT of the candidates honestly cause they all feel like kids? Like maybe it’s just me but I imagine the farmer is probably 20s-30s certified adult, and seb & Sam and Maru and a lot of the other candidates feel like they’re 18-21 at MOST. I don’t wanna settle down with them... let them live their lives they’re too young
