I know y’all probs won’t watch this, and that is totally okay. But I am so proud of this.

I played my dream role this summer. I finally got to do Jo March after years of yearning and tweeting and waiting for it. I was stifled and shoved in the background in college. Told I would never be a lead. Told I was only a filler voice. I always sounded good, but I was never enough to be the lead. Never skinny enough, pretty enough, funny enough, you can imagine. But someone took a massive chance on me and gave me the most wonderful gift of my lifetime.

When I walked into auditions and for the first time sang this song(Astonishing), I felt called to tell this story. I’ll never be a Disney princess. I will never play Eliza Doolittle, Amalia Balish, or Laurie Williams. But Jo spoke to me the moment I read the book. Louisa reached down into my soul and gave me something back that I had been missing for years. I’ve never felt more connected to a human being not having met them. When I was making my decisions onstage I could feel Lousia with me. I can only dream that I made her proud. I want to do this again. I need to tell this story again.

Jo, you are the person I’ve been waiting for my whole life. You have been a part of me since I was a young girl. You’ve molded and shaped me into the woman I am today. You are fire and determination. You are gumption and spunk so far before your time. You are a Titan in a mortal realm. You are my Mount Everest. My greatest dream and dearest accomplishment. I will love you for the rest of my days.

I will be fearless, surrendering modesty and grace💚
