Hi! Okay, so I just needed to get this out and tell someone with good communication skills who can actually say something about it and agrees with me (i hope).
So I was on YouTube and watched this convention video with jensen saying something (good, obviosuly) about jared. He commented that when spn started sam was the principal character, so Jared's name's always number one in everything.
So I go to comments AND SURPRISE everyone is just hating on sam/jared. Like yeah I know I'm supposed to be used to that by now since that is king of normal in this fandom (sadly), but I just exploded. It's okay if you dont agree with something, if you dont like a character, I can understand that.
What I dont get is how can people be so insensitive to think that sam/jared fans are not gonna read that. Also like, I don't go hating on dean/jensen when there's no point. I mean they do it without reason. Instead on commenting any other thing. It's like they use whatever as an excuse to hate on a character that is really loved, on an actor that has saved lives.
Anyway just my thoughts cause I got kind of frustrated.

First off, hope you are feeling calmer now and that venting to my blog helped. I think I know which video you are referring to.
What Jensen said is a fact. Sam always was the main character of the show. While Dean did get his pivotal arcs and in later seasons more weightage (although this is purely because late season writers did not know how convincingly write Sam or what to do with his character) but the fact that the show started and ended with Sam is a proof in itself that he was and always will be the main character of Supernatural. If anyone needs more proof, look how TW did without Sam. Sam is the soul of Supernatural and the moment the focus was taken away from him, the show started going down the hill (and to Hell)
Sam/Jared hate is very common and some of the worst of it is on Twitter and here. If you aren't on twitter, i'd recommend staying away especially if these things impact you (and rightly so). What I've noticed is a lot of these haters are not even the fans of Dean/Jensen or even the show, these are the worst kind of people who are here only for that stupid ship that exists only in their heads. And honestly, most of these people haven't even seen the show from the first season. Yes, there are people who have jumped into the show from S4 and stopped watching at S15E18 and love to pretend the actual finale didn't happen. But just because you don't accept the truth doesn't mean it's stopping becoming the truth. For them Sam is a threat to destihell and Jared is a threat to Cockless. So they spit a lot of hate because deep down they know their ships will never be canon.
They make up lies about Jared because that is the only way they can feel better about M*sha. if pull a list of bad things both of them have done, Jared's probably stops at 2 (the bar fight and expressing his anger on twitter for delivery apps issues) while M*sha misadventures are endless. And they stan him no matter what. So the question remains: do we really care what this bunch thinks?
We know what the show stands for and how Jared is. His testimony comes from all the people who have worked with him right from the sets of Gilmore Girls, to House of Wax, to Supernatural, to Fire Country and of course Walker. So let's not get bothered by opinions of bullies who hide behind usernames and random pfps.
