Stoic Drops Video Single “LOVER” with Samant

Following the release of his first single of 2026, "UP & AWAY!" (feat. Kaicrewsade & Mick Jenkins), Staten Island-born, GRAMMY Award-winning producer Stoic has shared a new single, "LOVER" (feat. Samant). Arriving alongside an accompanying animated visualizer, "LOVER" features Canadian artist/producer Samant, who brings his falsetto to sing passionately about having exactly what this girl wants in a lover. He floats above a Stoic beat that sits somewhere between alternative, neo-soul, and hip-hop. The accompanying animated visualizer arrives from Amouri Edwards, expanding on the visual world of Stoic and his ever-expanding production chops, in the lead-up to his yet-to-be-announced forthcoming project.

Over the better part of 10 years, Stoic quietly helped to shape the landscape of Hip-Hop in his internet era, producing and publishing over 1,000 beats while releasing a slew of collaborative projects starting in 2023 – including DUMMY with Reyan, PIRANHA with CJ Fly, and COCOTASO with LIFEOFTHOM. Outside of his solo releases, Stoic has landed a diverse range of placements across the Hip-Hop spectrum, including “Smoke Break Dance” (35M+ Streams) with Mick Jenkins and JID, “Too Much To Zelle” (8M+ Streams) with MAVI, and the GRAMMY-Award winning “Bullfrog” (65M+ Streams) by Doechii off of her breakout album Alligator Bites Never Heal. With the release "UP & AWAY!" (feat. Kaicrewsade & Mick Jenkins) paving the way for his yet-to-be-announced forthcoming project, Stoic enters a new phase as both a producer and curator, crafting his first solo full-length built around a carefully assembled cast of collaborators and a cohesive conceptual vision.

The throughline of Stoic’s work is close collaboration and gradual momentum, typically expanding existing relationships into projects without having to force music without purpose or message.
