Growing up in Canada and not knowing nor having ever being exposed to war, violence, genocide, guns or a political battle like the one still going on in Belfast. It can sometimes be hard to believe the evil that people are capable of. I have a hard time wrapping my head around how people can hold so much hate in their hearts over years of feuding that they didn’t start. That people can be taught to hate others based on looks, accents, religion and the list goes on and on. This year alone has been one of panic, pain and death. Sometimes with all the new edges of the world crumbling we forget about those who are still dealing with the same struggles for the past 20+ years. While in Belfast we took the Black Cab tour. This is a tour that takes you back into the past but also to the very real present of the conflict between the protestants and Catholics. They took us into 2 communities that are very much still filled with hate and the wall
