This was one of my first scenes as a professional animator! Little Tarzan was my first character that I animated on at Disney. It was amazing for me because John Ripa was one of my biggest inspirations when I was in school. He really brought to life believable and subtle characters. John Ripa’s character in the original Tarzan animated film was truly an amazing performance and work of art!
Kala was animated by an artist from the Kala character team. This scene was cut from the sequel, as Tarzan 2 went through a major story overhaul.
