i have many toxic traits and one of them is fantasising about getting other people's fat dogs in shape.
#not usually complete strangers or whatever just#you sit there.. listening to people complain about how they just... cant seem to get their dogs in proper shape and you think...#but i know what youre doing. and what you are doing wrong#and it would be#so easy.#'but i feed him and he's still hungry!!' no you feed him and he's bored#but the enrichment you provide is mostly food and snack based#so of course he seems hungry.#i know people who essentially force feed their dogs and cant fathom why theyre fat.#you dont have to toss a treat at your dog every 30 seconds during a walk#the walk is the enrichment!! let it think about something other than treats!!#let your dog take an interest in something other than food!! for fucks sake!!#and i fuckin. understand that people give their dogs treats because their dogs like treats and making their dog happy makes them happy#same!!#but you don't have to give your dog food rewards to like you. i promise#use them when you need them!! otherwise just fckn. hang w ur dog!!#sniff some dirt or whatever#leave space in the brain for fulfilling other needs
