saturn/jupiter ; uranus/neptune: same house
im going to explore in this post having very different social & generational planets in the same house. (i will explore later having generational planets in the same house that are rather similar.) generational planets affect an entire generation & there are many cases where two of them are in the same sign at once or in neighboring signs. social planets also take a considerable time to change signs and can therefore fall in the same sign or neighboring sign too.
the ‘social’ planets are saturn and jupiter; the ‘generational’ planets are pluto, uranus, and neptune.
Saturn and Jupiter in the same house
Saturn (restriction) and Jupiter (expansion) are in a sense opposite planets. They manifest entirely differently and affect us entirely different. When they both occur in the same house, there is a natural contradiction that occurs for the native. In this area of life, they are constantly pulled between tightening up and letting loose. They often question whether they should go about things relating to this area of life with a strict plan and standards or play it more casually and simply expect the best with whatever happens. They will often sway between extremes: high scrutiny upon oneself in this area and not enough scrutiny. Not enough indulgence and too much. For example, a native who has Saturn and Jupiter in their 6th house may go between creating a very strict schedule for themselves to completely neglecting their responsibilities.
Uranus and Neptune in the same house
This planets are most definitely not as different as Saturn and Jupiter and thus will not create as conflicting of an attitude. However, I’d still categorize them as incredibly different and they are generational and can fall in the same sign (or neighboring signs). When they fall in the same house, the native may struggle between their own preferred, idealized method and the method they believe is best for the collective. They may rebel and cling to something seemingly at the same time, which is quite contradictory. They make seek change, but also have unhealthy habits that keep them holding on to what they want to change. For example, a native that has both of these planets in the 8th house may rebel against intense emotions and any amount of emotional dependence on others especially concerning the most private parts of themselves, while they also seek highly intense, passionate, vulnerable relationships that can have a hint of codependency.
